Third Grow - A1 Yola

Yea and her terps are really starting to emanate from the tent. Lol

The colors on the tips of the sugar leaves are either purple or red. Kind of cool.

I think I might have to chop the top cola this weekend. All the colas have a good amount of amber. They look and smell amazing.

Hard to tell from the picture, everything looks “Amberish”.
Turn down/Off the tent lights (pull her out of the tent if necessary), then look at the trichs w the scope, adjust scope light as req’d.
Snap a few more from top colas, mids, and lowers.
That’ll give you a good idea where she is in general.
Dont fret it, they dont turn amber over night, it takes a while

@Mote I was probably going to give her a feeding of molasses this weekend and just keep an eye on her.

I looked at her today and it looks like we’re getting pretty milky in those top colas but the bottom is mostly cloudy. There’s definitely amber coming in. So excited for this harvest.

That’s a good idea :+1:
Milky and Cloudy are kind of interchangeable imo. basically you’ll start seeing all solid cloudy trichs w some amber showing up on the top colas. I keep an eye on the mids and lowers, I want them solid cloudy, Ideally on the lowers but sometimes you will still have a few clears on the bottom but you may start getting more Amber up top. Depending on what your preferences are you can cherry pick when to harvest. Regardless, developing a lot of amber takes time so and you stated, keep an eye on her (all of her lol) and check her every 4 days or so.
She’s looking very nice. Is this your first grow ? you’re doing real well.
Are you planning on flushing her as she nears the end?
Very exciting, Should be a lot of fun when you start wrapping it up. :v:

This is my third grow but my first photo. I wanted a challenge and a larger yield so I went with this strain. Medium sized plant with stupid yields. Definitely going to flush her. I saw how well my thc autos did with the flush that it would be a waste of a crop if I didn’t. That’s what my gut tells me.

Yea I’m excited to wrap this grow up. I’ve got some Carolina reaper peppers that I’m going to germinate so I want to open up the tent to that. My wife isn’t jazzed about my ladies but she’ll be fine. I think the more decriminalization becomes a real thing she’ll lighten up. I have a medical card so I can grow either way.

Might drop beans again in the fall but focusing on hot peppers after this harvest for the spring and summer.

I’ve learned a ton from you fine folks that I can apply to most growing.

Cool Man! :+1: I find photos easier than autos, always feel like I have to walk on eggshels w them.
Just keep an eye on the trichs and start thinking about when you want to flush and possibly stop feeding it, your plant your rules.

Carolina Reapers!!! I stayed away from those, I tried to germinate Naga Vipers, Scotch Bonnets and maybe a Ghost all to no end, couldnt do it. This would be the right time to start. Have you sucessfully germinated pepper seeds before. If so let us know your methodolgy  Might as well start thinking about spring right

I find growing cannabis and peppers to be similar. The hotter the pepper the fussier the plant. Kind of like high thc % plants being difficult grows at times from what I’ve read. Honestly I’m like you I like photos these two felt like easier to grow than my first two autos.

I think the convenience with autos is I can just keep a constant rotation in one tent. Never having to change light cycles. For being the set and forget if weed plants I find it the fussiest and most uncertain plants I’ve seen.

Autos are enticing on paper but…they dont always behave like autos should. I did a blue cheese auto from dynafem recently and she got huge (good thing) so I had to super crop her. I know people here have done all sorts of stuff w them that you’re technically not supposed to do. I figured if she got “stunted” at that point it would be fine.
Nope, didn’t affect her a bit, she kept on going, took a long ass time to finish to boot, nothing Auto about her
So what technique are you using to germinate those firesome peppers? do cool temps help germination?

She’s frosty as shit man, you gotta love that :+1:

I think the lights will be turned off by end of week and starting 72 hours of darkness. She’s looking and smelling ready.

pulled the smallest of all colas on Monday and it’s been drying. Looks great so far. I can’t wait to pop the tent open on Sunday night.

this a1 is going to be frosty stuff.

I had a little sample last night. It’s potent. Kind of a creeper but definitely has some cerebral effects too. Overall great buzz and feeling.

ladies have been wasted and now they’re hanging to dry before they go into the tent
