TheBadHaggis grow journal #1

Not cutting Purple punch #1 has actually given me a lot of time to learn and try new things with her. Last night decide to try super cropping a few branches. Felt a good pop in the branches and fortunately didn’t break any. Amazing how resilient these plants are. Before I started I thought if you looked at them wrong it was over.
Between manifolding and super cropping I don’t think there’s a better way to see how tough they are.

YT Bill Ward (?) video “cracking”, the branches. About that pop, snap or crack heard as the branch screams I GIVE UP.

1st sign of a deficiency showed up on Purple punch #1. I think it’s a calcium deficiency but PLEASE let me know if I’m wrong!
I was planning on the 1st top dressing on Wednesday for PP#1 but did it tonight instead. 7tlbs gia green 444 watered in. Tested runoff ph @6.8

All other plants doing great. I’m assuming these 4 manifolded plants are using less nutrients than Purple punch #1 so I didn’t top dress them yet. Any advice on this would be fantastic too.

Pics of Purple punch#1 only found 2 leaves that we’re discolored. Besides those the plant looks healthy

@Storm I’ve been looking all over to see if that could be part of it. I’m just thinking they have such a shallow root depth how could they do that much damage. Not finding much on negatives of cover crops on the interwebbings though

Not a negative at all. If feeding the girl…have to remember the other stuff eats also.

Epsom salt is an easy apply. Dont need much.I had a bad batch of soil I underammended and had to supplement.

I have a box of Langbeinite. I’m just hesitant to add more stuff quickly after the 4-4-4 I just put in. You think its fine to add some?

Wait. Always see what happens. If do a fix give it time to work.

Np. A rule of thumb I use is try the fix…give it a week. Then if no joy next solution. VERY easy to make it worse. Here is a picture of a bad soil mix. This didnt get mixed well. Earth dust. Was a hotspot in bin i think. Nute burn city. Just gonna finish her all the way and brownie time…:rofl::rofl::rofl:. Only plant i have had issues with in ED.

Got bored and things happened…

Stripped room down, moved 5’x5’ tent out for now.
Installed panda film on walls. Much easier to get around!!

On another note, haven’t had any other leaves changing colors since the other day. Hope that is put to bed.
Started brewing a compost tea for the girls to enjoy tomorrow in their new room.

Top dressed x4 manifolded plants with gia green 444.
Compost tea for all plants, approx. 1 gallon each.
Wanted to see ph on PP#2 watered to slight runoff, tested at 6.8
Very happy with growth on plants. Starting to even out nicely.
Had to trim up PP#1. Holding her down so others can catch up was causing lack of airflow through her.
Most plants are approx. 10" tall at this point. PH#2 lagging behind a bit.
