The NEW grow room shopping list and eventually journal

So guys I’m looking to spend under 1500 euro. (about 2k dollars)
I’ve currently just spit balling, getting a list and making sure everything will run like a beauty, no stress, minimal work and of course THE BEST stealth.

I’ve got an 8inch stealth hyper fan so that’s sweet, hook that up to x4 600w air cooled hoods I’m thinking. digital ballast obviously with 250 to 600w settings. so 2 for veg 2 for flower or maybe 3 for flower and 1 for veg and put my best leds in veg (vipar 600, znet 12 etc)

things I’d love some input on (everything, but also stealth)
heat is a bit of a worry as I’ll either have veg in a tent and flower out the tent, or veg and flower in the same room with sections made of panda plastic.

Is there anything people use to stop helicopters seeing heat radiation? I don’t mean to sound paranoid but if I’m going to give a larger grow a go I’d like not to have my expensive equipment seized.

think I’ll probably have to get an AC, but I’ll run the room a few days and see what it’s like first as they are pricey as fudge.

so any ideas, comments, tactics, advice or anything else… always appreciated ")

I have the 6” hyper fan, absolutely love it. I do believe if and when I need to replace, I’ll be moving to ac infinity like my 4 inch fan though. Comes with some pretty neat features for about the same price, and it’s even more quiet than my hyper fan. Solid choice either way!

How do you plan to cool all 4 lights from the single fan?

is it a phresh stealth hyper fan? or the blue one? mine has 1206 m3/h which I think is about 700cfm, this is exactly why I posted the list, I just presumed on max power it would do the job nicely! but maybe I’m wrong.

currently looking in to what sheeting to do the room with… I like the idea of the heat being eaten up a little by the walls like with simple white paint, but the thought of heat pissing out and a helicopter saying that’s obvious… is worryjng. any advice?

It’s not the hyper fan stealth that I have. But I believe the ac infinity fans are still quieter.

I think the fan will move plenty of air, I was asking how you planned to do it out of curiosity is all. Like hooking up all the air cooled hoods in series and then just hooking up fan to the end of it?

Not sure. Are you worried they’ll be looking for you specifically? I’d insulate the shit out of it then lol.

oh I see, was worried the fan wasn’t big enough or something haha yeah I have the stealth, it’s pretty damn quiet, but I’ll certainly look into getting an AC infinity instead of another phresh as an intake.

no no of course not, I’m not on the radar or in any way tied to cannabis. Just precaution I guess, plus every time I use to hear a helicopter I’d get sketched out at 2am… which wasn’t great, I was genuinely considering dumping them once. in an ideal world of just have every stealth option done, so looking into the lot

Haha ok. I’m not sure the ac infinity will be worth the cash for an intake fan, but definitely check them out. It’s the cloudline series. Power consumption and noise level are as advertised on my 4”, so I would assume it hold true for other sizes. Built in speed control, and it even has a function that you can set a temp and the fan will ramp up and down based off difference between set point and actual.

As far as the insulation goes, it’s always a tricky deal. I would try to figure out what would be best for your climate swings and seasonal changes, and then incorporate that into your desired level of stealth.

good advice… with an intake fan it’s pretty much as important to be silent or next to silent as an exhaust if say, other wise what’s the point going quiet at all!

good advice there db, thank you. I’ll probably have to wait to see the room first before deciding, can’t wait to set her up  I’ve got a 10 x 4 gal DWC system and 10 4 gal smart pots, I’m not 100% I want to use hydro without a chilled though… don’t fancy getting root for again, but that growth is nuts in hydro! might try coco… hmm

I wish I had bought a larger AC unit to begin with. It was to cool 5X8 room, so I went with smallest one. LED lights, so figured I was good. Now I wish I had a better one.

that’s awesome. what’s the tent for? mothers or veg? Thanks for the list @garrigan62 and @Matthew420
that’s effort and I appreciate it

what btu is your AC bry?

5000 btu. Wishing I had 12000 btu because I would add more lights but ac I have now wouldn’t handle the heat from them

ah ok, I’m looking at a 9000btu but people are recommending a larger one. 1200 is the one I think, thanks for your help
