Tell your folks I says hi 👋

Looks like dry ice hash has better returns than water hash and has a better appearance. :man_shrugging:

I was just thinking about dry ice hash rosin last night lol it should still have a better taste and appearance over flower rosin biggest reason water hash rosin is so big is because of flavor and purity you get out all of if not close to all impurities with water hash dry ice will still yield a fair amount of plant materials as well but no where near as much as just pressing flower over all flavor and appearance should be better imo

I think bubble has its place with the fresh frozen. With dried or partially dried I would think that dry ice would take the cake? I suppose the quality would depend on the micron used and how long you sift/shake it? Just thoughts.

Most definitely it should be superior in every way over just pressing flower and just under bubble quality i would definitely use a finer micron bag and only tumble/shake lightly for short sessions do different runs to grade the hash id do like 3 different shakes and collect each run before shaking the next so then you habe 3 different qualities
1st shake 10-15 seconds
2nd shake. 15-20
3rd shake. 20 seconds

Sweet. Maybe I’ll run a half lb of older stuff for practice. Or maybe I’ll run all my BB. Idk dry ice is like $3/lb.

I’ve never tried this, but I read that Static sifting will give you the cleanest hash…

Since you like to experiment and are trying different ways, I thought I’d mention it…

Thanks for sharing. That’s pretty cool!

Ive heard it works somewhat but not the best for dry ice because the plant material itself breaks down i to such fine pieces

Whelp just finished trimming up cement shoes a little bit ago. Here’s a few bud pics from this time around.

Total
Keif: 5g
Flower: 418.1g or 14.78oz

I gotta say those numbers aren’t too shabby for a 27x27. I was expecting 8-10oz maybe 12 max after seeing it out of the tent after I chopped it. But pulling almost 16 oz of flower for one plant in a small tent is pretty surprising. While this grow didn’t go as well as I wanted due to me apparently forgetting how to use a timer which put her through a crazy veg which made her branch out like crazy which made it almost impossible to thin her out the way I wanted and issues that I couldn’t figure out. All of which frustrated me this whole grow lol she turned out great! Beautiful buds, a nice stone and unique terpenes. I say winner winner chicken dinner!

Cement Shoes Smoke Report

So…the flower almost tastes like tobacco or kinda like a nutty coffee aftertaste. Not like Starbucks coffee more like the coffee you get at the gas station or hospital. I think the kush in it is prominent but I’m not certain since I’ve never had just kush. (Hmm maybe I should drop some kushy kush beans and find out) It actually reminds me of a splift when it’s packed in the bowl. I’m not sure I like it. Not gonna lie it was a little harsh which was disappointing and kind of surprising considering that the rh has been sitting at 60% since I threw it in the grove bag. (Side thought: I’m a little skeptical of the new 1lb grove bags. The quality doesn’t feel like it’s there anymore compared to the new design of the smaller bags. Just an observation that I hope doesn’t effect quality) But the concentrate tastes a lot different. I can’t remember exactly what it’s like right now without taking a dab but it’s creamy and still has a slight mint after note. It’s a really enjoyable smoke when consumed that way. I also feel like it’s worth noting that its a low return in the press department. Surprisingly low in my opinion. It feels like a waste of bud for the return. But even with how the flower tastes I really enjoy the effects. It’s the perfect smoke after a long day and you just want to enjoy a relaxing evening watching a movie or whatever makes your heart sing. I feel like cement shoes would be a great candidate for edibles speaking on the medicinal side. I think it would be great for aches, pains, anxiety and sleep. My sleep quality was on point last night. Slept great. It was a really deep sleep. Usually I always wake up between 3:30 and 4:30am but I surprisingly slept through the whole night. And it actually felt like I got some rest last night and not just sleep. After smoking the flower last night I’m considering taking all the flower to some dry ice for concentrates and probably have a go at some edibles as well to see if it would be a good candidate to help ease nerve pain and my migraines. Even though the flower is not really desirable to me I think it totally would be worth growing again and to me that says a lot because there are only a few strains so far that I have grown that I would actually grow again.
