Suggestions for this plant

It’s the clay pebbles is my Geuss, did you get pre buffed ones?
Did you PH buff them for 24hr to 5.8? They need to be buffed by you or your going to to fight the PH issue. Your just going to have to keep correcting it, such a hassle I know. At least that’s my thoughts. Maybe @Myfriendis410 can shed more lgiht he has more hydro knowledge.

As for the silica good mixing I will say it’s to little, what product are you using as it depends on what amount of ppl you want.
Here is a good read

General Hydroponics brand this round (for Silica)
I did not do anything but soak and clean them prior. Most of the hydroton was reused from the last plants, were thoroughly cleaned with water.

I worry about full strength product dosage… Good article with lots of info. Thanks

Basically you want like 98 ppm Si but it depends on what type of silica they are using… GH doesn’t label wha their silica product is in terms of ratios to my knowledge so it’s impossible to tell ide call. Them.
I mean GH is a good company so they know their stuff but I like to be sure.
The ppm. Seems to low if it was potassium silicate (which most is) I would expect it to be at least like 95-120 ppm.
Give full dose and see what your ppm is in plain water.
Silica isn’t going to hurt its not a nutrient its a building block. It’s differnt won’t cause burn

OK will give it a try and check on that. Wait for next water change right? I shouldn’t add that to the already made solution.

Some say you can if you PH it before you add it but I would. Just wait. It won’t hurt to wait. This way you can get the right ppm prior to adding all the other stuff.

I was interested to hear Bruce Bugbee talking about silica and it’s importance in trichome development. Cannabis is a very silica-hungry plant and needs a lot of it.

Just watch your mixing instructions as silica needs to go in first. If adding later; mix into a gallon of water then add.

Great point it’s not on this table for that reason

That is an awesome diagram to help it make sense. Love science. Is Boron used? Thanks for sharing that.

It’s in micro part of nutes. A tiny amount…

Excellent! Good lesson for today

PS plants seem to be looking better. New growth does not seem to be negatively affected ! pH was 6.3 today and I haven’t adjusted. Will look prior to next feeding.

Can these bottom leaves be trimmed off due to damage or will that stress a plant this young?
Thanks

It won’t kill the plant to leave them or to take them off. Looks great! :+1:t2: :sunglasses:

At such a young age they are still mostly green, leave em for now.

Hello. I come with an update and some questions. It’s been somewhat cruise control this week. Will do water change soon. I was wondering at what point you want to start increasing amount of nutrients? And do these guys look ok to start minimal LST ? Pph 470 now
Humidity has been hanging around 40…
Running humidifier on and off but it jumps up to 80 so quickly.

I’m really excited for grape ape this run and she looking the best!

I can’t help much, I grow in soil. Your plants look good to me, great job.

How old are the plants?
what nutrient line are you using again? They should offer a feed chart week by week, this is what you should be following.

Does your humidifier not have a RH% setting built in?

if these are auto I would suggest a FIM, if they are photos you can FIM , Top, or just LST.

Im using GH micro grow bloom set. They do have a feeding chart but if I followed that my ppm would be way higher. I was under the impression to start at 1/4 or 1/2 doses of their recommendations.
Plants are about 5 weeks old.

@Not2SureYet uses this GH feed chart he made himself, very successful.

You need to feed more regardless.
