Sudden wilt on flowering plants

One day, 1 plant had a few yellow leaves, then wilted. Next day a 2nd plant is suddenly wilted. Now a third has done so. They’re not next to each other. I do not believe I’m over or under watering. Could there be another cause?

Sure! Thanks for replying. I’ve cut the first 2 down.
Also, I hope the picture shows up, lol.

@Johns117 Could be cut worms look it over for capillaries look real good at base of plant where plant comes out of soil around the trunk off it see if any damage

Will do. Ty again. I’ll lyk!

Doggone it. Is this cut worms? Lol. Gotta google cut worms now.

I just checked the others that wilted and they do not have that damage. So now im really confused.

@Johns117 could be Did you put that from soil looks like root rot sorry my friend

@Johns117 do you have good drain holes in your buckets?

Thats what I was thinking also @danniep40 one plant would be questionable but 3 doing same so that’s what I was thinking no good drainage will definitely cause root rot if it was cut worms it would just have a hole in the stalk

That’s why i use fabric pots for draining and airflow

I do. I’ve used these for a couple years and never had this happen. The one, most recent is cut worms, I think, but, I checked the base of the other 2 that wilted and their stalks are fine.

Very pretty!

So thats root rot? Not cut worms?

Yea looks like it to me @Johns117 if the end of stalk is soft and mushie that’s what it is what kind and size are your drain holes

Thanks for responding. It’s not soft and mushy. Much more like it’s been chewed. And the others that wilted before this one weren’t soft, either. Nor did they look chewed like this one does. The stalks looked fine.

Did the drain holes “PLUG” up or bottom sitting water?

It’s Gelato, there are 8 drain holes about 1/8 - 1/4 inch. No, not sitting in water. The stems are not mushy at all. So confused. Thanks for replying.

@Johns117 can you shot us pictures of your girl
