In my 9th week of flower and she’s had a sudden change in leaf coloring over the last 4 days. They are turning yellow and getting crispy. Heat has been higher than usually do to a heat wave here. But temps haven’t topped 85 degrees. Is she just eating herself alive being so late in the game? I haven’t changed anything in my feeding schedule . Ph in and out 5.8 & 5.9. 1200 Ppms going in.
What do the buds look like? Trichomes, red hairs etc… Go look at Mr Canuk on YouTube. All his plants leaves are yellow and looking rough before harvest. I’ve seen on couple other threads on here that state there supposed to turn when harvest is coming. I think it was @bonnie1 who said it. Im only speaking from research, watching and reading. Haven’t made it to flower myself yet but if your 9 weeks in could be there almost done.
Still a lot of clear in the trichomes. Some cloudy. I was hoping to get a good amount of amber because I’m looking for that couch lock effect . But I’m not sure it’s gunna make it that long. Some of the sugar leaves are showing signs of yellowing also.
I’d be happy with the look myself that late in flower.
It’s what they do. I would pluck the real yellow leaves off…at least attempt to and see if they are “loose” or still holding tight. Loose ones take off as they come…
Plenty of resources left for another couple weeks in the plants leaves for it to draw from to feed.
Not sure what your feeding but I soon would just be giving them water for the final 2 weeks or so.
Just my thoughts
Stems are still firmly attached it’s just the leaf matter that’s dying. These are my first White widows so I’m not sure what to expect from them as far as flowering time . I read up to 14 weeks before the trichs turn amber enough to harvest. @Skydiver
I finished a White Widow Extreme last grow and flipped 1-28 and harvested 4-10 so about 10-11 weeks …was milky with about 20-30% Amber if I remember correctly and it is a nighttime strain for me anyway.
I have 2 more in flower now about 3-4 weeks in.
Your call I from what I can see from a pic anyway wouldn’t be too worried but that’s just me
Glad to see I was on right track. There you go @Watt-Sun figured someone more knowledgeable would drop in.
@Skydiver @TXCanna
Looks like there’s a light at the end of tunnel with these 3 . Checked the trics today and the are clouding up nice with a touch of amber here and there. Still some clear so I’m going to push them another week with just water.
Your checking the buds not the leaves right? Leaves will turn sooner.
Yes. First pic I got a sugar leaf the rest were buds
Lookin tasty
In the first pic upper left cola has no standing /white pistils that I can see.
Looks really close.
I don’t think u’ll do wrong by starting flush now. Congrats on ur imminent harvest. Peace for now.
@Watt-Sun.
@TXCanna… some plants will show a type of cannibalized ravaging of the leaves that start to die & turn yellowish brown usually around top cola and some other areas of the plant when ready for harvest… the trichomes will be milky white & pistils will have turned brown & amber by now but… my experience is that this doesn’t always happen just like this, and I’ve harvested plants that didn’t turn amber or as much & trichomes as others so if it doesn’t happen this way, don’t worry all seeds are different, just make sure you go the required time to harvest. I dropped another amnesia haze & a critical purple autos on 7/20 and the haze has a nice tail & so far the critical purple has nothing, so I can see these seeds aren’t as good, shouldn’t have bought 10… I’m disappointed this is why I stick with potent, gooey, haze cause I never have a problem & I keep my perpetual grow alive!!
