My cherry Kush autos all started, turning yellow with a purple tinge three days ago. I’ve been watering them with rainwater and General hydroponics flora bloom. Up until three days ago, I was not giving them any nutes and they were luscious green. I’m using soil that I made with cocoa coir , peat moss bonemeal, compost, bay guano and worm castings. Only the cherry Kush autos are turning. All the other plants are lush green. PH of my nutrient mix is 6.8
Your plant is nitrogen deficient. Florabloom contains no nitrogen. Use a General Hydroponics (or similar) product that also provides nitrogen.
I forgot to say that I put a teaspoon per gallon of FloraMicro. I guess not enough N … I’m relatively new to autos… This is like my fifth time to grow them. I’m a lot more comfortable with the nutrients on Photos. This is also my first time to use soil that I made. I just find it interesting that only the cherry Kush is having a deficiency . I have two other strains and they’re doing great. All have been getting the exact same treatment
Plants can be like children. They’re all different.
It is difficult to see as it’s not a good all plant picture but what I see does not look like a nitrogen fade.
Nitrogen is mobile and the plant will steal from fans and lowers to run the flowers.
I see a top with sugars in lockout. P and zink locked. It is about the time in the cycle for issues and with coco and mineral a reset of the pot with a flush may square this away.
Now I run organic but I have seen and had nitrogen issues in my own grows and seen hundreds of coco grows and more than a few of the hybrid coco peat grows. If I was going to use this mix I would follow a recipe that has shown success rather than a mix I came up with. Watering is different than both soil and coco.
Do you water to drain and check numbers or do you run more like soil with 2-3 day dry downs before a fertigation?
I water daily - usually a quart per plant in 5 gallon buckets. I give nutrients every other day . I’ve been growing indoors for eight years and have grown many many crops of photo period strains. I don’t usually get lockout and if I do, it’s usually an easy pH correction. But I’ve been checking the of my solution and it’s 6.8 consistently, which is what I always give
The thing is, I can’t imagine why I would be having nutrient lockout This early on. Everything was growing so well that I was giving them straight rainwater up until I started seeing the first little signs of color fade. And that’s only been three days It doesn’t seem like that much sodium buildup in the soil with just a couple of feedings
I am curious on the pH of 6.8.
Coco is more of a hydro profile and is usually pegged around 6 to 6.2 and soil has always been consistently 6.3 and soils are usually buffered for about 6.3.
It can be difficult to pinpoint issues with a mix of coco and peat as there is so much that can go wrong that looks like fade but can be from the setup of the medium. Stratified mixes with pockets of coco and pockets of peat that just act weird. Constant wet pot that works in coco does not work as well with peat as the pot gets wet feet and the pH goes up and down in a cycle.
I have no clue why it is the only pot doing it but I have had single plants in a run go sideways before and I almost always find the issue when I dump the pot out and check the medium.
My go too in the past was over watering and it was very annoying to see so many different presentations of this that all looked different.
I have three pots of the cherry Kush Auto. All three of them are showing signs of nutrient lockout. I have two other strains growing, and those two strains are the perfect color of green with no issues. I definitely do not overwater so this has to be a pH issue
I will agree but we need to decide what the reason is.
I am not sure what the results would be for steering my input as I am in organic soil. I use RO and supplement with organic cal mag but I do not pH anything unless I add something like fishit or a 1 1 1 organic pour that has a carb ( sugar ) in it. The soil ( fox farms ) is buffered to 6.3 ( and I do check the bags ) and pure ro water has a extremely weak ability to move pH.
You are using rainwater right?

Yes I’m using rainwater. They are doing better today. I’m seeing more green come back. I dropped my ph of my solution to 6.5 . I use a ph meter and ph up and down

So far the few times that I’ve grown Auto flowers they have not been fast as I keep reading about. They actually take the same amount of time as my photo plants. They are more convenient, however
