@Brentski hope all is well
I’m not trying to push this super skunk auto on you but it’s real easy to grow it grows extremely fast, is mildew/mold resistant and is hardy… it’s almost idiot proof … so for your first grow i think it would be a great learning experience that wouldn’t disappoint you like some of the other strains that’s more delicate and less forgiving… this is just my opinion it’s all about trying to help… it’s $89 on ilgm for 5 seeds but there’s cheaper places to purchase from that are reputable…expert seeds for one… i personally have ordered from them and had no problem at all… hope this helps in some way… ![]()

Where are you located? Somewhere super hot or super cold? Your best bet for east growth and maintenance would probably not be autoflowers. I started as a beginner growing them and although I love them and FastBuds genetics, they’re not as forgiving as they don’t have as much time to recover should you mess with them etc, but that being said FastBuds do have some great tough and sturdy strains, also Seedsman and expert seeds like said above and ILGM all have great seeds and genetics. You can just google, what strains are good for …. Then whatever you’re looking to manage and it will give you some answers
Can also type in google “the vault seeds”, they have THOUSANDS to choose from! Autos feminised and regulars from all breeders
Hope you find what you need!
Yes, super skunk auto is top of my list so far, and thank you for the great advice! I feel like you would know how hot and muggy a climate I’d be facing, and if you think it will work, then it’s worth a shot.
I appreciate the advice.
I do believe the morning sun will do it best and partial shade in the twelve o’clockish on till dark will help beat the heat a little… you kniw how brutal the direct sun can be…
I would also get a couple photo plants to have a big harvest right before winter to carry you through till spring… just my opinion but i personally would plant 3 and 3 just to better the odds ![]()

I’m kind of lost in a sea of options, it feels. I’m in 7b hardiness zone, the area is the foothills to the Appalachians. Soil is acidic, clay and rocky, but I plan to amend with compost, coco and perlite. Water will be white I can capture/collect or hike in (I should be able to expect an average of 53”/year).
Maybe my Google-fu is weak, but it seems I get either contradicting information, or too many choices.
Just looking for some solid recommendations from anyones experiences who might be familiar with this climate/latitude/situation that have the best chances of success. I would like to try a few strains in a few spots, but I’m having trouble narrowing it down from thousands of options.
Put in a ticket to support and explain your conditions and see what they recommend… it’s an option and it’s free… it can only help you ya know…just my opinion…
That is exactly what I was thinking too! A few photoperiod (feminized). I think 12/12 sunlight starts late September so maybe 14 wks or so. I’ve got some Blue Dream Autos now, I like your recommendation on Super Skunk, and have been thinking about Northern lights, Durban Poison, and White Widow.
It’s going to be tricky getting the morning sun. My land has a small mountain that runs north/south. Most of my part is on the western slope, and the eastern slope is heavy with pines. I’m going to do the best with what I’ve got, but the areas I’m looking at without some serious work might get morning sun around 9 am.
I want to thank you all for the advice. You’ve all given me a lot to think about, some great rabbit holes to dive down, and some solid idea about what I want to try. I have some blue dream autos I just started, and I think I’m going to get some Super Skunk Auto and Power Plant photo fems. I can think of two good spots that get decent morning light (southern exposure). And I think I can carve out a spot with eastern exposure.
I think three solid spots, with three strains per spot will give me a good education for this year.
Sounds like you have the drive and motivation to make it work… great. Motivation on your behalf… congrats bro…![]()
If you grow indoors, you have better options. Blue Dream did excellent inside down the South Texas Coastline and the temps here are brutal. You usually run a AC 24/7 all year round.
The very first strain I smoked was Power Plant. I smoked a 1/2 gram pure in Amsterdam. Since I didn’t have a tolerance then it dropped me like a rock. I woke hp with a big pile of drool I was so relaxed. It was over 1 foot wide and my beard was soaked in drool.
CBD is good for managing pain. If its a 1:1 ratio, you should get the best of both worlds. A mental and body high. Garden of Green has Super Critical Bud CBD which is basically 1:1.
Peach Puree CBD by G13 Labs is great for managing pain and you stay clear headed. Its a 1:2 ratio. At least its how it works for me. I feel safe enough with it in my system and I will ride my motorcycle.
I have smoked over 300 strains and I never thought I would grow so no journal documenting each strain. Its all a blur now but the first one I have never forgotten.
As for stress I have found any strain works. I never smoked a strain that didn’t relax me.
@Brentski how’re you today my brother… i have something i think will solve your strain problems for good… this can be your go to strain for the most relief… I’ve been thinking about you and your needs… skunk is in the same group as this one… here’s the info… hope it helps
this is my super skunk auto … aka Sweetie at day 29… my 1st indoor grow
Thank you, that looks really good! Did you get it from the seed bank in your post?
Yes Sir i posted the info just for your viewing pleasure ![]()

Ha, just checking. 30 years of a “don’t get caught” mentality made me ask. It’s really cool that I could order low quantities! I put in for three each of Sweet Zombie, Super Skunk Auto, Power Plant, and Durban Poison Auto. Then the BOGO kicked in so really 6 of each. That’s really cool! After this year, I will have a really good idea of what’s going to work for me. I really appreciate all the help!
So far I couldn’t recommend FastBuds autoflower seeds enough!! This is my 35 day old from sprout Forbidden Runtz auto
She’s put up with a lot of stress and stuff from me! And she’s exploding now rapidly and smells amazing!!
They look like a nice size! Should be a nice looking plant full of huge buds!
Yeah hope so brother
she smells absolutely amazing!
I was just looking at some fastbuds seeds but I still have some more of my GCS seeds so I’ll run those next then I may try some fastbuds, or even try 2 photos haven’t decided yet
You won’t be disappointed with FastBuds brother ![]()
