Stems turning yellow/dieing?

Started germinating these 2 seeds 3 weeks ago from today. I’m not pleased with slow they’re growing since there autoflowers and can see the stems at the bottom are starting to turn yellow. One plant looks more developed than the other and only 1/2 bottom stems is decaying. The one that is less developed, both are decaying. With that said, Im very pissed that these autoflowers should have grown more than they have.

I should also add that I realized these stems turned yellow after leaving the plants outside. There was some unexpected rain which went on for about an hour

The most common driver is overwatering. They only need several ml of water per day at this point. More than an ounce or 2 at a time risks root rot at this stage of growth.

Sorry about that. Is this mistake fixable though?

Best you can do is let the soil dry out before watering again and then maintain those wet/dry cycles going forward. Wet/dry cycles are necessary for good root health for the life of the plant.

By the looks of it they should turn out fine.

Would you say they are growing very slow? They’re autoflowers, and 3 weeks into germination, how much time would you say these are ready to veg?

I would consider them in veg at this point…

Overwatering will stunt growth.

I’ve actually been complimented as one of the first time growers to not overwater. I really believe it was that 1 hour of rain that messed the roots up

One rain isn’t going to do it, though it might slow them down a bit.

What soil are you in and have you been feeding the plant anything other than straight water?

They would benefit from more direct sun.

Please keep language here clean.

I have fed them with nutrients yet. I’m using fox farms on bottom half and happy frog on top

Good. It’s going to be a few weeks before they need fed.

Everything @MidwestGuy said, but also what are you PH-ing the water to?
