Stem splitting with drill on Chronic Widow

I would too but the only thing I’ve seen up to this point is side by side comparisons of trichome shots, and they always look identical to me.

It would have to be from two clones, grown under extremely controlled circumstances, and then lab testing would need to be done to scientifically measure THC differential between the two clones, not just trichome pics.

My money is on the differential being very small

the plant thinks it dying and is pushing more ‘something’ out to procreate…I guess plants have an Id too.

I agree, i’m really not sure splitting the stem does much if anything. I wish someone would do a good study.

I’m not sure it does anything major, but it also doesn’t seem to cause issues on a plant that you’re going to harvest, anyway.

Some I drill, some I don’t. Some I shock with ice water, some I don’t. Some I put in blackout for a couple days, some I don’t.

Well after 2 days it looks like what happens is the stem holding the trichome head gets longer stretches out or something. I have a close up of larf Bud I clipped this morning. Also she is ready to harvest tomorrow morning.

I was scanning around the bud with my microscopic lens and I seen this is this what they call a banana? Does that affect anything? Or is that just a small Leaf curled up?

I do the drill method and dip the drill bit in alcohol first then do 2 holes and then plug with a stick for kabobs on the grill and do it about 2 weeks before harvest i noticed the difference when they were cured when I broke a bud in half it was white in the middle and sticky. Looked like a chunk of sugar i thought crap it’s mold at first but under the 60x jewellers loupe it was nothing but trichomes. This was done on white widow and critical mass

That drilling a hole method will cause sometimes bananas yeah, its stress alright. My Gold Leaf cant stand it to and had bananas. Crystal take it good.

Great photos !..I am baffled by this ‘Banana’ thang , it looks as though you have produced an immaculate high here.
Top of the class !

I have my eye on this one, that’s fer sure, have you any experience growing this without grow lights ?

This is my first attempt with Banana kush. I’ve always grown indoor, so lights have been a must. I’m moving again soon and will finally have the land to grow outdoor. Looking forward to it. Also I’ve always used soil. Would like to try hydro one day.
