Starting the indoor grow. 2 unknown auto strains

Never grew an auto or indoor. How to tell when your auto is in veg stage? When you get your first “true leaves” or when you get your 1st node? Seeds courtesy of Fast Buds. Strain(s): mixed auto pack

Organic soil 70% ocean forest 30% happy frog

You’ll get varied answers on this. Many folks consider the first 2 weeks to be the seedling stage.

I would take it up to 300. Minimum PPFD guidelines are:

Seedling: 300 PPFD
Veg: 600
Flower: 800

The soil looks pretty wet. A seedling should only get a couple ml of water per day, or no water in the soil at all if using a humidity dome.

I did not water last night. i watered this morning a few drops.

I turned the light up yesterday, then i noticed the cotyledon leaves bending down as u can see in the photos. Is that normal? if so ill go to 300ppfd. i thought maybe light was too strong. I have a humidifier going and RH is 76%, Temp 79F.

It isn’t meaningful. Your seedlings look very healthy. Inadequate light will cause your seedlings to get leggy and stretch looking for more light. Cannabis is extremely light hungry. The only plants that require as much light as cannabis are palm trees, olive trees, and cacti.

I like a small (4-inch) fan moving the air near my seedlings.
Dome watering?

I have plenty of “home-grown” aka “Bag Seeds”.
Outdoor Orgy Summer 2022 and Seed Sourcing Summer 2024.
My “seedlings” are a month since drop date and a week since up-planting into bags from solo cups.
Good growing to us all.

Agree with B-22 (below)

Winter grow need heat and light.
My HLG will provide the light.
My VS1200 will provide the heat.
Winter grow planned for 18/6 (currently 20/4).
Autos and Photos together then we shall see what develops.

Looking very nice! @MidwestGuy is on point. Another thing to remember with autos, is it’s important to keep conditions right. Recovery time for hiccups means less time for actual growth and development. If you do any training, get it done early and try to avoid going back and taking leaves or branches.

Just a couple tips from my experience with autos. Keep that light on 18/6 also. Won’t hurt a thing.

Good luck and happy growing!!!

You are going to have an absolute jungle in there!!! Even if you did a 12/12, those autos are going to be huge!!!

It just finally cooled enough outside that I don’t have to crack the closet in the middle of the day. I tend to cram, too, but am going to do everything I can to drop 1 photo, maybe an auto with it, in a couple of weeks for the next run. I always end up with at least 5, tho lol… this’ll all be down in the next week and a half…
