This is exactly why this is one of the best grow forums. you really get to learn about variables from all ranges of growers instead of elitists and peasants status quo youll find on a lot of other grow sites! “May the wings of ILGM never lose a feather!” ![]()
If you scroll a little up I posted a DLI chart that I altered with a red line to show what I do.
Otherwise I have issues with fox tailing.
It could be that we all have similar thoughts, but completely different spaces and conditions we grow in. Most here have to work to keep their canopy temps from getting too warm, but is the opposite for me. This stuff is usually much more complicated than what each of us do or don’t do.
very well put!, heck yes it is …even when you have everything dialed in things can and will happen. just the nature of it all.
That’s me come winter, and why I have always ran autos in my grow room Durring winter for the 20hr of heat.
Running photos this year I will have to dial in my programable base board thermostat I installed last year, with my grow room being an attachment to my house it is heated separately but controlling that correctly depending on lights on or lights off will be a bit of a challenge considering I can’t adjust it every 24hr.
This is so helpful thank you Nicky!
Thank you, please be sure to give the main post a like!
So much good information on this forum. Thanks!!
@Nicky what’s the app on Android on the DLi @BobbyDigital I have the z-flip ?
Photone app, android or iPhone.
Thank you Sir , much appreciation! Gotta look into that .
You will really like it. Wish I had a z phone.thats pimp shit man! My galaxy number ? is shit and won’t run the app correctly. Something about not having the correct sensors. So I went the not so accurate route and got a light meter and try to convert correctly to ppfd to then figure dli.
They just be sending me the next new device every 2 years it seems , if I like it I keep it , if not I return them , but I’ve been with AT&T since January of 2006 , it don’t even really seem that long we been compromised by the tracking devices !
I’m guessing it’s the top one, cause I do have the second one on my z-flip and I’ve tried using it ; but this is where I’m not smart cause I have no understanding on what all to do . I know I know , I’m going read over it all and hopefully I can get a somewhat reading ? If I did it right the Jack is at 47.8 and the other 2 being much taller than it is reading 50.1 so I’m not sure if I did it correctly , I was just pressing button but I like it has the 3000k CMH and tge 4200K option plus the Full spectrum Led , so which one used to measure hlg ? I guess I can used for the XTE and the Rinky dink Chinese old Led maybe and I’m guessing I’ll have to do the Cultilux CMH separated
@yoshi , yes the top one. In the settings select sun light. They have found that the most accurate with LED. And with what I’ve played around with this(not to much time<2 months) it doesn’t take much movement up and down to make big swing changes.
Okay so sunlight for Led and CMH ?19.7 and 23.3 I don’t guess that’s good maybe for me , but they growing like trees.
Yes for LED and I’m not sure for the Metal🤘
Play with it and let us know. I only have hps left so wouldn’t be much help.
Thanks for helping @StonedCold13 been busy with my uni.
And just so your aware I have yet to use this app myself. I have been using a LUX meter on my phone for like 2 years so it still works great.
I made notes for myself like
veg= X lux
pre stretch = X lux
Full flower = X lux
End of flower = X lux
@yoshi regardless of the light source use sunlight.
Any recca for a basic infrared thermometer? I see a few for $13 but wondered if that’s too cheap.
They are just cool to have👍
You can take your temp, your friends temp, ck your coffee, aim it at the sun😎
Lol on my self😝 On the for real side they are great for cking Rez temps and leaf surface temp for VPD
My knockoff one is just now getting ify and I’ve had it a very very rough 8-10 years and it was $25 back then. So I’d bet you’d be fine to play around with.
