I’m hoping some suggestions might come my way to get these suckers moving. Have been on hold in small pots since tail end of winter and now that it’s warming up,they r under lights and being fed a nute solution of 360ppm at 19°C water temp, 35°C days and 26°C nights with a RH OF 40 ODD %. The lights r 3 banks of 36watt DAYLIGHT FLUOROS AT THE MOMENT. They are bout 45cm off plants to the left and right and i have a single 36watt daylight bulb that is directly above and bout 3" off the growing tips at best.Have 4" air scrubber running and maintain a ph of 5.8. The clones were cut in the first week of pistils showing on my previous grow. Plants r in DWC setup. Wondering if I just gotta be patient maybe???
They have been in the DWC bucket for a week now.I not too familiar with monster cropping, but I do know you are gonna wanna cut the bud that is there off
I’m not familiar with dwc but I am familiar with monster clones. I’ve never cut the bud off my clones but I’ve never taken a clone with a bud that large either. How far into flower did you take the clone? I won’t take mine past 3 weeks into flower. In any case with clones, as long as those leaves are staying green and she’s getting the humidity/lighting she needs, just usually a matter of time before they take root. Did you use a cloning gel or anything?
You will want to remove bud and cut tips of leaves off (thats where they loose most moisture). Are you foliar feeding? If not you should. Did they have roots before you put in dwc? Only other thing i can say from my experience is it takes them a while to revert back to veg (up to 5 or 6 weeks before you see faster growth) right now she dont know what to do. As long as shes green shes alive
Taken me 40 days to get to this point

I need it to full a 4x4 netted space
I do a lot better with seeds
Gday m8. I’m pretty certain I took a few cuttings off in the 1st week of pistils maybe 2nd week. I used gel and powder to be honest. Doubly sure. A golf ball size of dirt cane with the root ball when transplanting so I didn’t bother it too much as u can see. The bud has slightly developed since cutting. It’s actually 2months old.
Beautiful. Thanks 4 the pics.
Did you give is 24/7 light for the first two weeks to kick it out of flower?
Ok. Am foliar feeding with NITROZYME. Had been for the last 2 weeks with worm castings. The root ball on the green one was size of golf ball. The other one had next to nothing. I’m pretty sure I damaged em transplanting.
No. Have been running on 20/4 for the last week or so.
Bit worried bout takn the bud off till some smaller shoots pop up a bit more. She green so yep I’ve been patient and just watched. Will get pics today some time.

WOW, that’s good to know! Didn’t know you were supposed to cut the bud. That would explain why my last MC clone dried up. I’ve had 4 other successful ones with bud still on but the bud was tiny. My last one was almost 3 weeks into flowering. Here’s my last successful one.
When you say cut the bud, do you mean the top node with the bud or just cut the tip of the bud?
Mine was a one of three that lived. I was pruning and cut a branch thinking “That would make some great clones” then I had to soak rockwool for about 30 mins before I was able to cut the branch into 3’s and make clones, it was just laying off to the side when the rockwool was soaking.
Enjoyed your journal. Looking forward to more. Learning all the time on this site. Cheers
A sativa I did earlier this year had more shoots come off it than I knew what to do with. They came from the buds you had cut off. From the actual c word part of the bud… can’t think of the name but I know the tear drop shaped bit o the bud and I saw them come like a furious storm of growth is best way to put it. With these two taken ages to go again I’m tempted. I have a third I will show you. It’s started its growth. I’m trying for 3 monster croppers. All of Delicous Blackberry. I too have a journal. Delicious Blackberry 22 days flowering its called. All done and picked… I’ve got a bit to learn bout patience so I missed out on me 70-80% amber trichomes I wanted. Didn’t have loupe then either. Smokes nice still, smells great and have a whole heap of attitude in getting the best outta these 3 suckers.
@Whodat66 I’m on board with a switch to dirt for this monstercropper. Would appreciate the guidance offered to keep the ride smooth please. I have 2 for the DWC and this one that’s started for the soil scenario. You up for It?? @raustin waddya reckon???
I can only recommend Fox Farms products from experience, but FFOF is not your best bet. Has the highest PPM of their soils, and no mycorrhizae.
I am trying a grow next with the Happy Frog and the Lucky Dog (new one) and both are lighter on the starting ppm and have mycorrhizae for the roots.
What nutes do you use for hydro? I was looking into the Botanicare line (cal-mag makers) and they have several 3-part (or more) nute lines. Also they advertise that it is perfect for soil and hydro.
But what I gathered was that the hydro chemicals are usually perfect for soil (just more refined so they don’t clog dwc’s) but that you can’t necessarily use soil nutes in dwc. So if you have nutes, they should work.
Last, pH 6.5 - that’s it
