Approximately, how long do the three stages of growth generally last? No need for specifics. The Oklahoma growing season is approaching. I want to get my seeds established before time to put them in the ground. I am starting the seeds in coco pods and then I am putting them in 7.5 gallon pots. How long will it take for seeds to out grow these pods and reach this size?
Seedling lasts maybe 2 weeks.
Veg is up to the grower, but cannabis is generally sexually matured and ready to flower by 6 to 8 weeks. I veg mine for 6 to 12 weeks depending on how big I want the plant to get.
Flowering usually lasts 8 to 10 weeks, though a little longer for sativas is normal.
I just planted mine… last year I planted in early February and dont put them out until mid May. You will be fine in those pots until plant out, however, dont forget to harden them off or you will severely burn them.
As for veg time, its veg until mid August here and then they flip. Of course these are photos and not autos, did you say if you are growing photos? Not sure? Ill re read that. Some plants like Lebanese may flower earlier than others too so… typically most equatorial varieties take a long time during flower… some Thai and Laosian varieties will flower for 16 weeks!
It would be nice if the seed sellers would be more specific when they suggest flowering time… is that from seed to harvest or from bud set to harvest? Since Im an outdoor grower I dont really care but… for those expecting fast turn around times… you know.
My issue is primarily sourcing original genetics that will finish in southern BC without supplemental light. The holy grail for northern breeders. 
But to answer the question more directly, the plant in the photo is a seedling until it has branching. Then it moves up to vegitative stage. This can last as long as you want under artificial light assuming you are growing photos and 18/6 light schedule. As I pointed out earlier, flowering typically is set off by the length of the dark period… around 11 to 12 hours of darkness will trip the vegging plant into pre flower phase. Some mistakenly call showing sex pre flowers. A plant can show sex after 6 to 8 weeks and not make flowers for 6 months or even a year or more… remember its up to you. Therefor its just showing sex not pre flowering. Pre flower is a phase… like " the stretch ". I believe with autos pre flower may be a more appropriate term because once they show sex its game on regardless of light schedule.
I kept a photo journal. My hands don’t work the best so I took pictures. So, now I need dates, times, things like that to write things this time. I grow by seed, outside. Second grow using natural sunshine.
