Ask someone here that knows more than me what to do.
To play along and learn something I’ll take a guess. I assume BBP is bud buster pro and is foliar sprayed. I’m unfamiliar with that product but wonder if like neem oil it had a light reaction as opposed to causing a deficiency?
I can’t wait to find out the answer.
Correct.
I applied BBP to all 4 plants not really sure that caused the problem though
I applied with lights all the way down and did not turn them back up until after the leaves have dried
That resembles calcium or Magnesium or a Sulphur deficiency. But it really reminds me of what you see when the pH fluctuates. I would watch the pH closely first to see if it spikes or anything after watering. But take this with a grain of salt. I am just taking a poke.
I saw 4 different deficiencies ( I am by no means any kind of expert ) based on all the leaf charts I looked at, calcium Magnesium manganese and potassium If I remember correctly
I’m still reading up on this sentence from one of the experts, he see’s possible Alternaria infection necrotic tissue with yellow rings developing more so on lower left lower leaf
He also stated I kind of dismiss nutrient issues as the other tree plants look great at this point
I’m going to pull the plant out today and do a complete inspection I’ll keep you updated
Update on the leaf issues after BBP treatment
So I had some time today to do some research on the Alternaria infection and did a thorough inspection of the effected plant.
Other than a little mag def I don’t see any issues with the trunk branches or other leaf issues. The node spacing is tight. It had a hard time deciding which way was up by the hook at soil level in the trunk. I moved it to another tent position with less light There’s calmag in the new soil, it’s just growing roots now so should be okay
Some pictures
I removed some leaves from the top to open her up
In conclusion of this the only thing I can come up with is user error. (ME)
It’s possible when I mixed the BBP solution the new spray bottle was not as clean as it should have been (new bottle on order)
I was assisted with diagnosing by @rflasch @kaptain3d @ravenchief with diagnosing and treatment plan if it was this Alternaria infection.
If you see this infection it can be treated with hydrochloric acid 500 ppm as a foliar spray
Hope everyone is having a great weekend
Interesting, I’ve seen other plants behave the way yours did with the trunk. Now i know what its called. Isnt Hydrochloric Acid just pH down? I am too lazy to look up the ingredients. LOL either way im glad you found the reason for the issues its having.
I have no idea
Not positive I did but I’m hoping so
I’ll just keep keeping on and see how it goes
Yes it is PH Down.
Phosphoric acid is what GH pH down I use is. Kap has recommended hypochlorous acid a couple times. Similar spelling but different stuff used for disinfectant. He’s recommended it to me for mold control.
It’s also great to get WPM under control
I thought so.
What a difference a day makes in growing Gods weed
Since transplant all the girls were looking okay but kinda blah blah blah ( you know how girls get )
So yesterday I mixed up some WOW Wallace wonder 5-2 humic/fulvic acid + seaweed extract and a little more calmag
each plant got about 1/2 gallon, it’s night and day difference, they are now ready to party all reaching for the lights, WOW, is right IMO
Yesterday
Today
Stay Safe Happy and High everyone!
Note: increased UVB/UVA lights to half hour on instead of 1/4 hour yesterday
I will keep playing around with it until it hurts
Wow is right… that really turned things around. Looking great!
Thanks brother appreciate you stopping in
I’m running Fulvic acid also for this run. I just use it every 3rd watering. I alternate it with Recharge. It seems to be helping.
I have a couple that are raising the pH to 6.3 i need to be at 5.9. I have Amonium sulphur i just need to figure out the best way to use it .
I started some test seeds a few days ago it’s a cross of scb cbd x afgoo
I’m going to test some theories on humidifier water, rain water, and microwaved water. Whatever survives I’ll grow out in the 1g in my shop somewhere else when the tent is needed. I grew another cross out with the scb it had a good amount of high but lacked taste and smell. If I like the taste and high from these I will grow them out fully another time.
I got my FF test kits, ordered 10 and found 2 that I had left over. The next grow will be all reg Photo from fellow growers gifted to me, haven’t decided which ones to grow yet. I’ll probably start 10 and hope for 5 female
After getting tails after 3 days I planted in 1 gallon pots they were all up above soil the next day
Hope everyone is enjoying there weekend!
What is microwave water? Can i microwave a gallon of water to eliminate the contaminants?
I don’t think microwaving with get rid of trace minerals, but it might kill any micro organisms swimming around, whether good or bad bugs. Exciting molecules may heat them up, but shouldn’t change their molecular makeup.
My thots anyways, not a biologist or chemist. I was a math/physics geek!
This is not my theory but they say if you microwave water and feed to plants it will kill the plant.
I did 1 qt at a time for 2 minutes the water was hot but not boiling.
It suppose to show that cooking food in a microwave kills all the benefits the food normally has if cooked on a stove top or eaten without cooking
I think you’re correct @Spudgunner I just tested the water source I used to microwave the water and it has the same TDS and PPM of the water I microwaved
PPM and PH
