Your temp is perfect, you can also toss a humidfior in there while they Are small.
I set my controller like this for when my plants are small
High temp 81f
Low temp off
High humidty (set to what VPD chart says for stage of growth) so 80% to start
Low humidty off
I need to watch some videos to explain that chart and the VPD. So Iām going to buy a Humidifier after work tomorrow. Do I need to get a digital one that I set RH% on like my dehumidifier, or will my inline fan system help regulate the RH in there @Nicky ?
For the chart:
Find your stage of growth in the top right and Remeber what color it is, yours will be green to start.
Along the left of the chart find your temp 79f now go to the green and slide up shows that 80% and around there is good for that temp and stage of growth.
For the humidifier keep in mind there are two main typeb; ultrasonic misting and evaporative.
Misting unfortunately released the calcium and other elements into the air which will clog the carbon air filter over time, evaporative will not.
If you clean your pre filter on your carbon filter once a grow you should be fine however.
Unless you use distilled water which is costly.
Ok thank you for that, the chart makes perfect sense now. I get how the different Humidifiers work, but what I was asking is do I just get a cheap one or one that letās me set a RH%? Or do I not need a digital Humidifier because my inline fan takes care of regulating the humidity?
It doesnāt have to be digital but one with settings and a large reservoir helps you
@Nicky ok thank you very much! My seed will be delivered tomorrow!! I got 5 gallons of tap water with an aerator going now to dechlorinate and so I could test my tap ph.
Thatās high ph. Have some ph down?
Did you test the tds
A little high as well should still work.
Google your towns name + water sample
And find a public record of water sample.
Should show you all whatās in it.
@Nicky I have PH up and PH Down. Here is the only thing I could find on my water from the city. Not sure if this is what I need
Hmm some info yeah but they didnāt tell you the calcium or magnesium in it dang mine is pretty detailed compared to you but then again Iām in Canada.
Not much you can do regardless.
Should be fine to use, just a little high.
Could look into eventually getting an RO system to dilute your tap water a bit in the future, will give you better results but like I said should work fine.

No one answered you about the branch benders , you never remove lst stuff or your branches will start to straighten back up undoing your work. Oh and hereās a vpd chart thatās easier on the eyes

@GreenSnek thanks for the info and the chart. Man those clip on LST pieces I got seem like they could cause harm as the stalks start to gain size. Seems like they would create choke points in the stalk, but maybe Iām just over thinking it lol
You are overthinking it the twine I used to lst my 1st grow bound the stalk way more then those clips will and those zkittles still produced beautifully

Ok well lastnight I needed to order a humidifier and got caught up buying some more stuff. I picked up a 3rd Mars hydro light for my 8x4, a RO system, and a 360 degree oscillating fan for the center of my tent lol. My seeds are out for delivery so germination starts tonight!
Once things get kicked off today I will be starting a journal so I can document my daily/weekly progress.
