Something going on with my outdoor grow

What you need to do is…

1.) get yourself 5 gallon bucket fill it with tapwater. pH the tap water to 6.5

2.) run the entire 5 gallons (1 gallon at a time) slowly through your plant catching your runoff from each gallon.

3.) measure each gallons run off at the end. when your water runs out 6.5 ph run one more gallon through.

  1. on your last gallon measure "both the runoff and the PPMs"

5.) once you have achieved 6.5 (or close) in your runoff and you have achieved the final reading of PPM that’s probably going to be around the 100 ppms it’s time to go in with a feed of advanced nutrients.

Never p h your water when using advanced nutrients advanced nutrients especially formulated with a chelating process that adjusts PPM update in your soil. Ph’ing AN feeds will call serious problems in the chelation.**

6.) mix up an advanced nutrients base only (micro grow and Bloom) feed measuring 650 PPM total feed including your tap water. Do not pH the water Feed them immediately after doing your runoff flush

NOTE
On #6 I suggest that you buy distilled water on this first feed if you had an issue with ph in your soil. This will eliminate the high PPM of tap water and give the girls a true 600ppm feed that they so desperately need at this point.

Additional note
If you cannot achieve 6.5 after the 5 gallon bucket runoff come back and tell me what you did achieve

@Lostgirl I’ve been at this for 2 hrs now. I’ve flushed the crap out of them. Flushed with 6.5 first, the. 6.8. Just hit 6.1-6.2 with water at 7.0. Can’t tell you how many gallons so far. A lot.

Ppm is at 114 (about what my filtered water is.

What is your pH as of right now that’s running out?

What size pots are you in?

Also from what I have read you had a problem with ph blocking you out and your plants are sick (that’s a long story short)

What nutrients were you using to feed these plants?

What type of soil is this?

Same as my indoor grow was. 10 gal fabric pots, happy frog, AN base last 2 weeks. Started out at what seemed to be a potassium deficiency so treated with banana peel tea for 2 waterings. No improvement. Started getting worse this week. Yellowing leaves started moving to upper plant.

Just added another gal of 7.0 water. Runoff still at 6.1-6.2

First picture is upper leaf

Okay I can say for you soon you have ran out at least 3 gallons of water through this sick plant.

You have achieved 6.1 to 6.2 runoff.

Your plants are saturated right now how fast can you get 2 gal (per plant) of distilled water or RO water?

Keep in mind your local grocery store sells distilled water

Check your email

Email is empty :open_mouth:

I’ve probably run 30 gallon through :expressionless:

Check again

I just resent email

Just to follow-up, your going to get the distilled water and feed 650ppm

You’ll then post the runoff numbers when done

Fed at 650 runoff was 375ppm

I would feed at 800ppm on this next feed.

Tap water
Calmag 200ppm per gal
Micro
Grow
Bloom
Big buds
Voodoo Juice
Total 800ppm

As we spoke about earlier there’s two products I suggest for creating a more healthier soil and root zone

Microbe Life Hydroponics Premium Photosynthesis Plus

And

Microbe Life Hydroponics Vegetable & Fruit Yield Enhancer

This will boost your microbial life, fungi, and humic substances giving you a cleaner root zone for better nutrient uptake. It’s incredibly good stuff it works excellent in conjunction with AN

On your first use
Go full strength (as recommended on bottle) on both products. Then use at half strength thereafter. However, do not use both products together. Alternate them between feeds.

And

https://www.amazon.com/Microbe-Life-717500-Photosynthesis-Fertilizer/dp/B00CJJ24JU?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1

Scrolling up I see you’ve been having this issue now for about 2 weeks. It looks like you started with some nitrogen and potassium issues.

The 650 PPM feed that you just gave a base nutrients only gave you approximately a 400 PPM run off (I was hoping for more than that but it’s okay)

By flushing your soil the way you did today you have basically done what’s called a soil reset and it’s key to start rebuilding a healthier soil and root zone. Growing outdoors is much different than growing indoors the environmental aspects as you know are quite different and a little more challenging. Although I know it’s a pain in the ass and you bouncing between two locations we got to keep the basics in mind. Running off and checking every time you feed is crucial. You’ll catch your problems faster and deficiencies will be less likely.

After reviewing everything above I’m going to suggest one more feed with distilled water so we can get the proper amount of NPK that you’ll need to bounce this girl back. I’m also going to edit the above feed as I believe you’ll need some additional potassium. The 300 ppms that you’ll save and replace with the proper NPK by eliminating the tap water is going to be extremely beneficial on this next feed.

You still have your 1 mil cheat sheet and/or your Excel spreadsheet for the nutrient PPM numbers. You can fill in the blanks.

1 gal Distilled water = 0 ppm
Cal mag = 150 ppm
Micro = XXX ppm
Grow = XXX ppm
Bloom = XXX ppm
4 mil B52 = XXX ppm
4 mil Big buds = XXX ppm
5 mil Voodoo Juice
Total Feed 800ppm

Between your base nutrients the additional B-52 and the additional big buds it should cover your basis in phosphorus and potassium additional uptake needs. The additional voodoo juice will restore your microbial life that potentially and got drowned in your 30 gallon flush.

This will get you back on the right path. You got to feed smart. Time goes by faster then we expect and sometimes getting back on track can take some time.

I believe a major key is going to be that distilled water for the next feed or so. This will allow us to get what your plant needs back into the plant without wasting a single PPM

Also note that you had some serious issues going on here. Will get you back on the right path and your plant back to happy and healthy but understand those leaves that are nasty and ugly and burnt are not going to heal/recover.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Ordered. Thanks so much for you help (AGAIN!) you’re awesome!

Excellent read. I like that it adjusts the ph for me when mixing.

Thank you. Yes it’s a wonderful feature. Chelation is used in fertilizer specific to garden needs outdoors by several manufacturers. Rarely will you find the chelation process in cannabis products.

@Lostgirl the products arrived and fed this morning. Now we wait and see.

This is her today after the first feed after resent and then this morning’s feed per your advice.

She’ll bounce back. On the two products that you received today once you do the full strength for the first feed back it down to three, back it down to 3 mil per gallon. I use both products once a week and I tried to alternate the products (as I feed twice a week)

You should be able to turn back to regular feeding using tap water. Let me know if you need any help!
