Hello, I’m well into flowering and everything was smooth but recently it started raining a lot and some of my nugs started looking darker and drying out, is it bud rot? If so do I remove the bugs and what do I do to treat the plant? Thanks!
A little closer please.
Looks like rot to me.
@Borderryan22 @MeEasy @Graysin do you agree?
Without a doubt.
Thank you! It’s what I feared:/ any treatment recommended after removing the nugs?
All I got is cut out as much as you can - remove all the rot plus a good chunk of bud adjacent to the rot.
I wash in h2o2 + water - a cup of peroxide for a 5gal of water. But for bud rot, I’d go the whole 9 and use 2 cups peroxide in one bucket, and a second bucket of lemon juice + baking soda. Then a water rinse.
I’m looking at your fingers that brown on them is spreading the rot but rot sucks and it can spread fast
Increase your ventilation system and you should have no problem just cut off that piece.
It’s an outdoor grow
The inside isn’t but the brown is. Wash everything thoroughly - water & peroxide is my go-to mix for any potential mold spores.
Thats my standard budwash recipie. Its like you grabbed right outta my head!
I had the same problem recently and it ended up being caterpillars. They eat pieces of the bud then it starts to rot where they’ve eaten. I got Captain Jacks dead bug spray. I haven’t had a problem since. Not saying yours is definitely caterpillars but maybe
You are correct ![]()
Anytime I’ve had any rot its been from bugs eating and or dieing in the bud ![]()
One of those times I wish I was wrong.
