Hey everybody as I go into my second grow I can’t help but Ponder what else is out there I know Fox Farm ocean Forest is a very complex yet basic stepping stone for the new grower I feel that I have knowledge that can definitely surpass the basic grow I just completed even though I am definitely no expert in soil grows I am definitely an expert in money-saving and efficiency and I’m good at making things work for less money. My thoughts are leading me down the path of hydroponic and a tote system to coincide with my sea of green Perpetual that I am getting underway I’m looking for information on soil inert and hydro to see which is going to be my best option along with efficient option for a fast turnover of sea of green I know if I’m jumping into hydro which I want to do it will definitely not be grade A1 top-notch first run and I have a better feeling that I’ll be closer to A-1 on my second grow of soil so for me to be Poppin top notch Buzz I think I should get a couple more grows with what I know to get a couple more basics set in stone because I am still dealing with basic tests and issues and haven’t come up with a sure-fire way of anything really but for my notes in my head I would like to know anyone who has transitioned from one to the other and why and was it a good choice bad choice how long did it take to get everything into your liking and making things work efficiently with your transition I know it’s not too much of a cost start-up to go from soil to hydro and solely in the fact that the cost of soil will sweeten the deal right there not having to be paid for I don’t know much about Hydro but it seems like if you can make it work properly you might really be on to for a little money I don’t know just my stoned thoughts for the night let me know if you transitioned from one to the other I am interested as I’m a transition myself in the near future
I went from soil to dwc, cost is not bad at all an the grow is easy in my opinion, i love the size difference in the dwc growth an time compared to soil growth and time
Much more rapid and better suited to a perpetual sog? I’m assuming you ment difference in growth was much greater in dwc and that’s what umkeaning tword… I just cant wrap my head around never having to water a pot specifically I k ow you gotta refill rez… but that’s nothing you dont gotta spoon feed it to the plants so to speak @JoshawaM how many completed soil grows did you have before the switch and have you ever debated doing a soil run for laughs and see if anything will be better worse ur easier because if the knowledge you acquired… I see dwc alot but do any if the other hydride type methods have any pros or cons to dwc… like mister systems inside totes ,or drip system in rock wool . Constant recirc. … large main rez ,multiple small rez, several medium rez, I have so many questions and not enough time or money to try em out but I really like the mister type areo set up makes a tote into 10 nozzle sprayer I dont even know what to call it honestly but it was close to what i had come up with in my head before I saw the video
Yes thats what i meant on the growth, an i have been growing outdoors in soil for 15 years, switched to dwc about 5 years ago an still occasionally do an out door or even an indoor dirt grow lol, i am workin on trying some of the new grows I’ve seen here but am very partial to dwc lol, plus they wife is kinda pushy an likes my dwc grows better:rofl:![]()
Cool man I got a feeling I’ll like it as well
