From soil to water?

Completely new to this I’ve grown in soil outdoors was wanting to start a dwc indoors have got all the equipment minus the beans.A good friend of mine just gave me 2 beautiful blue dream girls but they are in soil.Would I be able to switch them over to dwc or just skip that and keep em in the soil they are about a foot tall and ready for transplant got everything for the dwc but I dont want to croak em out whats the thought on this dilemma

I haven’t been in the situation but I’ve read that hydro growers just to rinse the soil off the roots

I start most in a clear cup of soil…once the roots fill the bottom n sides, I move to DWC.

Do ONE at a time. Keep the roots wet. A bowl/bucket of ph’d water is best. Gently wiggle the roots until most of the soil is gone. Then transplant to your plastic cage.
IMPORTANT be sure to cut out sections of the bottom to allow roots to hang down.

Keep an airstone under the plant. Keep the water moving so the roots stay moist n healthy.
Do it right and there will be minimal slow down as the plant adjusts to new home.
Keep first feedings light.

Go for it… don’t be scared…
First dwc grow I ever did , I took 6 plants that were a lil bigger then yours and washed all the dirt off and through them into my dwc buckets and pulled over 2 lbs of top shelf from that grow , plus about 1 1/2 lbs of trim…
The only one holding you back… is you

I did this in my first grow and it was fine. Your plants are are a bit farther than mine were, but all I did was hose off as much dirt as possible, toss the root ball into a net cup, covered with pebbles and away they grew. Final plants filled 5 gallon DWC with roots. Grew bushes!

Done right…the roots will fill the bucket after 6 weeks. Aeration is essential.

It will slow down your grow., but your plants will do just fine in soil or hydro with the cooler temps. I grow in DWC in a room where over night temps dip into the 50’s with only mid to upper 60s for lights on. DWC grows much bigger than soil. Here’s my gold leaf. 36” in canopy diameter 8 weeks into flower.
