@DirtBug Here’s the water ec ph chart I promised. I’m in the 3rd week of flower and recently did a nutrient exchange increasing the EC from 1.4 to 1.7. Two three days later and I was in Falling, Rising, Falling situation, so I added 10% more water to dilute the nutes and now I’m in Falling, Static, Rising scenario. Best thing is I caught it before the plants showed signs of stress.
I’m growing LSD and Moby Dick this grow and ‘they told’ me they don’t like EC over 1.6. I grew Critical Mass, Purple Punch, and Power Plant my last grow and they flourished with EC of 2.0.
i reached out to GH about some discrepancies I found on there SDS for Maxibloom.

I’m in week 7 flower and I’m in a static (pH) rising PPM (.5 scale) and falling H20…drinking more than eating-lower PPM…
I’m going to give her a shot of Dry KoolBloom today…
Trich’s are starting to get cloudy and droopy…Yippie

She is coming along very well…
The only issue I have is the leaves started yellowing earlier than I wanted… 
Being my 1st DWC I went at about 25% of recommended Nutes. I may have deprived her of some nitrogen. I don’t think I did any damage…Sticky Icky buds that are solid…

I am amazed at the growth rate…I only vegged her for 5 weeks and I’m looking at over 1/2 lb…Wow
Next grow, in October because I don’t use a chiller, I’m going to do an 8 week veg and do a full manifold… I’m hoping to get an lb from one girl…I love experimenting…

I ran the entire grow w/o a chiller and didn’t have any issues…
I used HG @2ml per gal…
With the new Mars Hydro light my air temps stayed 73-75°f and my res temp stayed between 65° (temp going in) and 72-73° consistently. That light puts off so little heat I had to put a heater (1st time I’ve ever had to) in the tent over the winter…
Well winter might be a stretch I’m in SE Florida…

Very nice great first DWC, bigger totes are better I use 100 litre/26.5 gallon totes, currently at week 4 of flower, more details here…

The 17 gal seems to be working, it holds exactly 8 gals. It makes res changes and top-offs much easier. I use two 5 gal buckets with markings at every gal.
I grow 3 plants at a time in my RDWC 85liter system and during mid bloom, they drink 8liters per day. I can run at 100liters max and that is really too small especially when I travel. I would recommend you go with a larger reservoir for those times you are out of town.
I bought a pH monitor and dosing pump on my third grow due to friends not able to ph water when I was away. Lost a grow when my plants spent a week in 4.6pH water while I was away. Now I use the water level, EC pH chart and that helped with the whole nute strength, and pretty much tells you when to do a nutrient exchange.
DWC is very addictive, challenging and very rewarding. You can literally grow in half the time as soil grows.

I measure my water height with a wooden yardstick…1 gal =1" in height…
Where did you get the PH and EC chart for the nute strength?
I downloaded the chart posted above from 420Magizine and I’ve seen it posted here as well. I added the ’ Not ideal, Good, Perfect’ comments and three day moving average verbage to the chart for hydroponics and clarity.
I use GH products and what I’ve observed is when you mix your nutrients too strong, the pH rises very quickly, then crashes and the EC steadily increases over days and the plants stop drinking. It should take several days after a nutrient exchange for pH to reach equilibrium, the EC shouldn’t rise and the plants should never stop drinking.
The idea behind the chart is to fix the problem before the plants show signs of stress.
