Soil available in Australia

Hi there, looking for some guidence. I hope you can help me.

Am I able to use store bought organic potting mix as a growing medium for my indoor plant? If not does anyone have any suggestions of what I can find in Australia to use for soil?

Thank you!
Montana

There are some other members on her that are from Australia. I think maybe @bob31 might remember who they were?

@aussie123556 is one @Thefuture

Theyre are more but the only two on my list right now.

I want to say Bunnings is the store most use or local Garden Center/ Nursery soil. Just be cautious buying soils that contain fertilizers! @Thirty1O96

Thanks @bob31 any recommended brands?

honestly, I remember having conversations about soil with different AUS members, but I don’t recall what they found.

Let me see if I can find any of those @Thirty1O96

I can’t really find those conversations. It was Bunnings they got it from.

Ideally you would want either an organic potting soil (with enrichments and not fertilizers) and perlite for soil aeration or An organic soil MIX with perlite with enrichments and not fertilizers

Look through their website and pick a couple and I will look at them for you @Thirty1O96

Hey @zombywoof I just ended up making my own super soil - Which I am happy to say has worked successfully.

Im using canna from my local hydro store its a little expensive but its a good mediam seems to hold a good amout of water and drains well

I can only get canna soil online here - but have steered clear because postage is expensive. Really good to see the bit of extra cash pays off though@Impala64
