So today I inherited this mystery plant

So today I was privileged enough to be given this beautiful little girl. I don’t know what strain it is, all I know is the seeds came from a reputable European seed bank that guarantees delivery (probably ILGM, lol). I don’t know what’s going on with the vegetation, I’m thinking the previous owner was trimming and trying to train in a certain way. I’m thinking I should FIM or possibly top to encourage lower branch growth as well as start to tie down

. To me it looks strange and is lacking branch and foliage development.

Any advice on or feedback on the above will be appreciated. Anyhow a gifted, free plant is bloody awesome so I’m going to enjoy this grow… yew!!! :grinning::grinning::grinning:

Yeah, topping will encourage her to get bushy. With the combo of tying down the main stem and other branches, should encourage her to grow a good foliage. Maybe pinch her stem too

@Dr.DankThumb420, thanks for the advice.

Topping will definitely help her bush up and encourage growth
Looks like a few leaves have but top her and watch her grow
You sure that wasn’t a clone ?

@Countryboyjvd1971, thanks for the advice. I will top in the next day or two me thinks. It could possibly be a clone as I had advice to use this as a mother plant for clones. Does that explain the trimming that’s been done? Sorry, not much experience with clones as yet.

The growth just doesn’t look even to me
Leave are staggering more like a side shoot
Then a main stem
I’m no expert on cloning either just doesn’t look like a seedling grow form seed to me bro
Looks healthy so I don’t see and problem with her and once bigger you could use her as a mother if you wanted too

Good call… make sense. I’m thinking I will just try and grow her out hopefully big and bushy… :sunglasses::evergreen_tree::+1:

So dumb ass just woke up and found a sticker on the side of the pot that reads NL x… thinking it may be a Northern Lights X. So I’m sitting here looking at her contemplating what my next move is, I buried my nose in her and POW… she smells so good (really strong)… f’ing stinks for what it is… I’m super excited!!! :grinning::grinning::grinning:

@Dr.DankThumb420, do you have any advice on pinching the stem? Where do you think this would be best done. I was thinking quite low down but from what what I have seen it is done further up on the newer growth. Any techneque advice would also be much appreciated.

Yo @maxlarge
I believe they pinch below most of the growth at the bottoms of the branches because everything above the pinch will uptake nutrients better

Thanks @Aquaponic_Dumme for the edit. Was super excited and flipping out… Cheers. :grinning:

so how’s your girl coming along @maxlarge

Hi @bob31, we’ll sad to say the little miss passed away. I work away and came back and she had been neglected and had moved on. In reality I probably wasn’t going to get much from her considering in an outdoor grower, it was mid season and she was a clone. I did love her smell and was very sad to see her go though. It made me think a nice crop of Northern Lights would be nice, lol. My other Girls Scout Cookies have made up for it though and I’m hopefully going to end up with some nice nugs.

Sorry to hear that! I was reading back through and when I saw the pic, I thought hmmm looks like a clone and not from seed. Oh well it happens!

The sad thing was it was a gift from a friend and I was really wanting to have it boom. Another learning lesson for me.
