Think it’s high time for a fim on the two bigger girls for starters. From my reading a fim can produce more branches with less shock then a top. They are about a month old from seed.
Is it time?

I usually let them get to the fourth or fifth node before topping or fimming

Decided it was time to fim the two big girls so that’s done I hope, those are the pineapple glue.
The other two, the critical mass at front is slower though seems to be healthy enough, though the fruit salad looks to be having some issues with the nutrient strength.
Just been topping them up with Ph corrected RO water as need be hopefully that should work.
Will only be doing the one strain next time. So on with the fim and picture show…

Update time, still just topping up with RO water plus ph down seems to be a given, the ph always seems to rise, it’s a real struggle just to keep it under 7.
So did a fim on the critical mass and tucked those huge leaves on them all as much as possible to expose the branches under.

Seems my fim attempts turned out to be a topping, except maybe the last one dunno yet, oh well more branches either way.
Citric acid for ph down is just not doing it and although I add more every top up, still can’t keep it under 7, so I’ve got some phosphoric acid coming.
Just put my scrog net up, they are just one day over a month old since placement into the dwc totes, so heres the pic…

Additional notes of this lazy grower…
Adding 100mls of 3% H2O2 every third or fouth day to each tote. Seems good enough so far with healthy roots mostly white, little brown, though then again the nutrient solution is a lttle brown.
Added a full 80mls of Cal Mag early on at week two or so, should have done that in multiple lesser amounts. Same with my original nutrient mix which was too strong in the beginning.
Only just added another 10mls of A and 10mls of B to the pineapple glue tote which had dropped to under 500 ppm, now back up to 650 ppm. The other tote is still at 650 so that is just getting extra water for now.
I know my ph is still to high, though it seems not to bother the pineapple glue or the critical mass, though the fruit salad hates it. Getting the stronger ph down soon to fix that I swear the plants must be absorbing the citric acid that I add.
The pineapple glue tote is sucking up about 2 litres of solution every day now, the other only about half that maybe less.
Makes me wonder if certain strains can actually handle a higher ph then others.
Just gave my hydro plant a h2o2. Ath last night while i switched over and cleaned the bucket. I started off new never used hydro guard or anything and got slight root rot from te.ps getting a. It warm then. Think i have it figured out.
I know for sure now that the H2O2 works.
After a dose yesterday those roots had no brown at all today.

Yes yea yes it does u made me go look at mine and they look beautiful today. Should have dont this weeks ago or when it started. Rookies starting off without even knowing what to do. Thus would be me but im blaming my wife. She popped the beans in and tells me when they r in the dirt already. Was like how u growing them with no lights. Tell me outside. That happened for a week or ao and she was giving up so off to finding lights and of course i got sucked in the blurples gang. 2 blurples turned in 5. Then 7 now i feel stupid and getting a good light and offing these to another blurple gang member.

My root get nuted colored from the nutes also that i dont worry about. Its the slimy bunched up mess if it happens. It happened to me was just gonna scrap it but it kept growing good so i left if. Clean it once a week and rinse roots everytime real gently. Grows better after i rinse the roots it seems. But now i believe i got alot of the rot shit gone might take off like a jet. Lets hope.

I just had one little patch get me. Just gave it a h2o2 bath 2 days ago and looking good yesterday. Will check later about 930 to see how they look today. Temps got the best of me at first with a little light peeki g into my bucket lol.
What do u use in the net pot. I have tockwool in mine. Anything better for it than rockwool. Im more for the soil than th w bucket. Ut the bucket is budding faster than doil all the way from start my bicket kicked the soils ass but the soil plant is doubled the size of the hydro
Just using small rockwool cubes with expanded clay pebbles.
I have read that rockwool is not good for the enviroment as it never breaks down, that said I have a plan. I will reuse the rockwool by throwing it into the roof space to add to the insulation.

My understanding rock wool is made up from volcanic lava melted and strung like cotton candy might explain why its not good for the environment. I didnt even really plan on doing all this and my wife got it started a day whole i was at work. Came home she says i have 3 seeds i got to pop and planted them. Its all on u now. Was like wtf where did this come from. Now i have 3 photo and 7 auto one auto is a cbd just messing around with trying topping and all to see how that went before i started hacking into the good plants lol.
Time for a weekly update or there abouts…for any that maybe watching…
Getting close to flipping these girls maybe in the next week or so?
