I have two aluminum heat sinks on top and the drivers sit on top of those. I plan on changing this on the next grow. I have very limited space and can’t hook them on the wall.

It seems like the driver should have some sort of heat sink on top of it, like a graphics card. Or possibly even its own fan. You guys find that these drivers handle the heat ok? I can’t imagine how hot it will be when I turn it all the way up.
Other than the heat how is the light preforming?

Thanks the heat sinks make sense. I’m looking at adding a DIY and wanting to put the driver outside

performing? Just got the hlg 100 4000k Friday n I was surprised how warm it got but the light is amazing n I want more…not gonna be able to deal with this blurple 600w anymore as the hlg is already spoiling me

My seedling has only been above the soil for two days now so I can’t really say how the light is performing but the quality of everything seems solid and it is very bright.
Its good to have them outside. I put them on top as there is no place to put them anywhere else. Plus heat rises so it made sense on top of the tent.

Well that light, performance wise, is supposed to be better than the one I just got n I cld tell a noticeable difference in my plant growth, so as long as u get the heat figured out I’m pretty sure ur gonna be a happy camper
A heat sink is a good idea. I’ve got clip-ons fanning mine.

I have plenty of fans to circulate air in the room. I might try directing my Infinity fan duct over the driver. That thing moves some serious air!

You really can’t go wrong with the HLG 260. I am growing in a closet that is approximately 4x6 and technically I should have at least two of the 260’s. I wouldn’t go any smaller.

I meen, I dont plan on growing more than 2 or 3 plants…perhaps i need to chill out n stick with my 600w blurple n my hlg 100 4000k…

It didn’t take me a lot of research to realize HLG is way better than the blurple lights. LOL. You start out thinking you can just grow a weed plant and 1K later you realize you have a very expensive hobby!

Lmfao, I’m into it just shy of 1k n havent harvested anything since I started buying…another light easily puts me over 1k…man honestly I guess I’m between another hlg 100 4000k or the hlg 260
