Hello there!
I have been growing for about a year now, I have three completed grow journals on the Grow Journals" tab for the strains offered by ILGM.
My current grow started with seeds that I saved from my honeymoon in Cancun. I didnt ask my compadre what strain he was slinging I was just happy to score in unknown territory!
Anyway, the weed was good, not magnificent, but really good for seeded herb so I saved the seeds.
I started with 5 seeds of what I was told was indica using the water cup method. After 6 days none of them germinated so they got tossed. I then started 5 seeds of what the kind seniorito said was sativa. After 3 days 4 of 5 had popped tails and the 5th popped a day later. I let them soak for 5 days total and then planted them in small nursery pots. 4 of 5 sprouted and survived the transplant.
I let them grow as seedlings for a couple of weeks before beginning the official vegetation week counts. I let them veg for 4 weeks (+the 2 seedling weeks) and then flipped the lights.
I am now in week two of the flip. All showed sex by day 7 and I ended up with 3 girls.
I have no idea what strain this is but she sure as heck is strong. There is already a nice noticeable smell when the tent is opened. They are taking 3 gallons of water each per week. I am feeding with FOX FARMS dirty dozen in ocean forest soil (recycled from 3 previous grows). 4X4X80 AC Infinity rig, light at the top level 9.
I topped all three girls after the first sign of sex, they are really bushy with loads of bud sites showing. I use tap water; out of the tap I get 6.1pH @ 100 ppm, not too shabby.
I welcome all suggestions and comments. If anyone has an idea about what strain I may have brewing please share

Yes indeed! I am excited that out of 10 “free” seeds I got 3 female plants. They are strong and bushy so I am impressed with the development.
Stay tuned!

Hey Grow buddy. They are looking great. I have some at day 21 after the flip. Good to see you out there growing. I went to Cancun earlier this year…luckily (or unluckily) the stuff I scored did not have seeds
Yes indeed! They are stretching out and beginning to flower, it really is a beautiful thing to behold.

Hello there my friend! Long time to chat. My wife and I honeymooned in Cancún in March and let me tell you it was a fabulous vacation. The people there were welcoming and kind to us, of course we were “gringo touristas con dinero” so there is that.
Yeah man, this weed was good but it was loaded with seeds. I haven’t had any “reggie” in a while so I was quite pleased at the potency. I bought two baggies, one he said was indica one he said was sativa. They both looked, smelled, and smoked the same so I am quite sure the only difference was the quantity in each baggie. But I digress…
It is great to hear from you fellow Jolly Rancher! Stay cool.

Hello there!
I was on vacation last week in Panama City Beach, FL so I apologize for the lack of updates. I am home now though and HOLY CRAP! These girls have exploded. I had to cull one of the three because she just was not producing any buds, just pistils. She was taking up space and light that the other two girls needed so I cut the punk down and used the soil to top off my other plants (tomatoes, peppers, etc…).
I had to top one of the two amigas again, she had grown into the light and the top two colas were brown from the heat.
I took the last two support cables off of the light and mounted directly to the top cross bar which gave me about 4 more inches cover and who couldn’t use 4 more inches?!
Both ladies have loaded up on the productive sites and are developing really well. I am looking forward to seeing the branches start to droop a bit with the heavy weight of fat packed and frosty worry-be-gone nuggets!
@Riskguy your girls look awesome! Do you have an online journal going?
Thanks for taking time to stop by and have a look!

Update 6/25/23.
It’s been a minute since my last update. I’ve had lots of life crap going lately.
The ladies are doing good, flowers are developing nicely with loads of white pistils and deep green buds. There hasn’t been any increase in aroma yet, well at least unless you stick your nose up close.
I have had some issues with nutrient deficiencies. After researching I think I narrowed it down to low calcium and magnesium. This same issue was also present in my tomatoes, basil, and mints plants, which is how I narrowed the issue down.
Since adding cavern culture, bone meal, and magnesium sulfate, I have noticed a girth improvement in all of the flower buds and new growth with buds under the canopy so I hope we are good to go now.
I’ll try to update sooner next week.

Yes sir they have and the top colas have split into two and three shoots each. It’s really wild to have have to crop the top to keep them out of the light.

You far enough away from the light not to burn them? May have to bend them over and tie them.

I worried about that with my last grow but in the end those plants did not burn and produced the largest colas that I have ever beheld. I am definitely keeping my eyes on these gals and will take action if needed but so far they are doing the same as my last go around.
Thanks for the message and check back for more updates!

Update 6-30-23
I have a continued issue with cal mag deficiency. I thought I had this fixed. But after a week I still saw no improvement in the appearance of the fan leaves but rather continued atrophy. Even the sugar leaves were showing foul and the odor was not strong at all, it’s there but faint. So…
Last night, I checked the pH again and it was 8.0. After checking my watering can I found that the hydrated lime had calcified inside of the nozzle and was adding more alkaline to the soil with every feed.
Oh.My.frekin…
Added day old coffee and grounds immediately. Flushed with CLEAN water two gallons then added sledgehammer for a third gallon flush.
This morning the pH had leveled back down to 6.0. I trimmed the dead and too-far-gone leaves, rearranged the girls so that they both got max light, added YoYo’s.
Fed with cal-mag 1TBS/gal and split that between the two.
They should be ok now.
I am so freaking dumb sometimes. Ugh.
