Small Outdoor White Widow AF flowering. Should I do any trimming?

Everything happened so fast and I’m so new at this (second grow in 6 years) I didn’t realize 1 of the 2 plants was heavy into the early stages of flowing before it was too late. Both plants are small and one naturally grew into a lollipop. I don’t know if I should bother with any clean-up at this point or just let the girls go. Opinions?

If by “Clean Up” you mean defoliation then definitely not.
They need every bit of foliage to grow. Removing leaves will only stunt them more.
Autos are unpredictable as far as size goes. We see a lot of little ones like this.

And welcome to the forum btw.

Welcome to the growmunity! Better leave what she has for solar panels. No issues with airflow, so let er grow! Good looking plant ya got there

I’m no expert but it is my hypothesis that auto plants determine there size by the pot it’s in. I’m know some autos are smaller than others. That’s a given. But if you wanna give yourself a chance at growing bigger plants and are sticking with autos. You need to put them in bigger pots! Other than that, good job! We all have to start somewhere! I started last year at the end of September. And I’ve learned so much since then! The people on here will keep on the right track and are the MOST POLITE AND HELPFUL group that I’ve found anywhere! :v:t4:

Thank you all for the very quick and supportive replies! I only recently learned autos don’t need much trimming unless the circumstances call for it. I let these girls ride and see what happens. Got a few more seeds from ILGM to try again later this summer. :sunglasses:

My last grow was White Widow and I understand what you’re going through. I would suggest that you do a little training maybe bend the tops down. I personally did LST all the way until the last 10 days 2 weeks and I top them. I had four plants total White Widow under a Mars Hydro 310 Watt and I ended up with 22oz dry. Also one of my girls was really dragging and I ended up at 14 weeks on the last plant 12 weeks on the other three but I will tell you that when they start building buds they will do so quickly but like I said LST might be helpful

Sprouted out of the soil May 17th. I haven’t kept any detailed records since. I need to do more reading on LST. I only recently learned it was a thing.

Help! 8 White Widows germinated and put in pots with soil mixture that has worked great with other auto strains. 2 1/2 weeks, no sign of growth.

@Jebediah welcome to the family. Did you sprout them in paper towel before putting in soil

If they haven’t come up in the long period how deep did you put them and i would dig one up see what’s going on

No I followed ILGM advice and sprouted in water.

Put them 1 inch deep.

Yea i would dig one up see

I will dig one up.
