Strange those are not Auto flowers as most of you know I am trying to grow my very old landrace regular seeds I destroy many and some are still going on today I noticed some thing strange
As I keep up on roof o e of them start to flower as this is start of summer and days are getting longer and hotter
The days are still short enough that the plants think it is fall. It’s called spring flowering. It’s from having them under 14 hours of light. Most strains (except landrace sativas) flower under 14 hours. Some flower even under 15 hours of light. Where I am in Seattle we are at 12.5 hours sunlight right now. That’s why most growers who are not trying to spring flower on purpose, usually wait until after May to put them out in the natural light. Your plants will start reveging again sometime late may early June. You then will need to cut the flowers back and prune the plants back some to get them to grow right after spring flowering. Basically cut off the buds formations, or it won’t veg right thru the summer.
The good news is you will get to pre sample the buds. You are on track for a good spring flower run and not just a lil nugs since they have been in the roof sun cycle all their lives. Just like the plants I am flowering in my greenhouse right now. I plan to pollinate all mine or else I would have add supplemental light [+2-3 hours] to keep them off flowering.
They will be fine but will require some extra work mid May from you to cut out the buds and trim back the plants to make them veg correctly this summer. Let me know if you have any questions. This is how I grow every spring to make seeds then reveg my seeded plants to go seedless in the sun for the proper fall harvest.
Agree with post above. These started under natural light too early in year. They basically grew to maturity and started flowering. If left outside will most likely go back to veg and then start flower again near end of summer.
