thanks for the offer fam but i’ll refrain from playing crazy surgeon over my plants as of now, it will make for a good learning experience if these plants do not show improvement within the next 5 days though.
Yea just wet a little out from the sprout. She will reach roots out in that circle. When she pops 3rd set of leaves or so most damping problems recede. I then water as normal but not to excess. They look healthy and I dont see any issues really. Just stay minimalist for another week or so. If new grower or new to Auto I would grow my first few straight as God intended. No train. Top. Fim. Just letem go. After you are comfy then add training in gradually as you grow more. Getting to the finish line is priority first grows over yield.
also what do you say, do i put them under a humidity dome again? maybe a big bowl this time
I agree I’d dome them few more days anyway. Unless humudity is high. I also wouldnt water them f9r a few days
daily update, progress halted, i guess i’ve finally overwatered with the past 800ml dosings, today nothing happened if not further yellowing on n.1’s cotyledon leaf, no watering has been done as the soil is still plentifully moist, ppm pen arrived and it measures 186 out of the tap at 6.56 ph at 11c (51 farenheit), will wait and check, no major changes in leaf colour if not a slight lightening in the shade of green, mushrooms have popped up again
found another potential piece of the puzzle from doing a slurry test, the ph read as 8
did a slurry test and the ph was 9.6
fungus gnats bactericide is late by one day, it should come in tomorrow
what is your current round of comments?
checked in a couple of hours ago and the soil is still really moist, plant n2’s leaves are drooping even more now, top inch is dry and i think i’m going to let it dry some more, noticed that at the touch the moist part of the soil was quite warm to the touch so i unplugged the seedling mats, will see if this causes a change in the upcoming day, plant n.1 and n.2 show no changes, planning to make a small diy humidifier and to better center the vpd
last update about the 3 plants: n3 died 3 days after the last post, took the opportunity to see the conditions of the root network and the tap root while being the only visible root was under 14cms of length, soil compaction was seemingly the biggest problem, no sign of root rot. n2 and n3 are in their last week before being cut (hopefully) as i assume both between stunting and other issues they had some major slowdowns during the flowering period, they both have just one big nug to offer but cured will still make for 10~ g from the total of the two which is enough for some tincture to manage my pain while I’m off cycling from my painkillers.
on the other hand, 3 new plants have been seeded (they’ve been planted with biobizz light mix as a substrate) and have gotten into their early/mid flowering phase, ended up picking fastbuds’ z auto as it has more information available about it, currently the oldest of the three is presenting different symptoms at the same time, I’ll follow the list before getting more in-depth about what is going on with the plant.
strain and seed bank: z auto from fastbuds
age of plant: 40 days old, started flowering at the end of week 3
method: biobizz light mix, 3 gal pot, used fish mix for veg and currently using bio grow 2ml/l, bio bloom 2ml/l and top max1ml/l following the feeding schedule on biobizz website, due to leaf discoloration did 1ml/l foliar with fish mix and it slightly helped to regain colour, next day we got back at standard decoloration, currently waiting one more day before watering.
ph: 6/6.5 using 2 calibrated ph pens, going bio atm so no tds readings
indoor or outdoor: indoor, 80x80cm base and 190cm in height
light system: 2 el cheapo led boards, currently giving them 40dli
actual wattage draw of lights: 120 currently, 160 at peak
light schedule: 20/4
temps: 23c
humidity: noticed that it got to 70% for a couple of weeks, currently 50/55%
ventilation system: fan hanging from above, 6" inline fan and ceramic heating system inside the tent (lung room heating is not possible
co2: air levels
current issues:
stunted growth (unless I’ve been spoiled by the growth put on during the flowering stretch)
lighting of shade of the top leaves, now it’s moving down, some leaves on the parts hit by the light grow some burn spots
marbling effect on the leaves, close to tobacco mosaic virus but not quite that
some leaves are warped
rust spots?
stems of leaves taking on a purplish colour just on the tops
current theories:
septoria on some leaves?
potential light burn? lowered the dli to 35 to see if the leaves get a bit greener
cal mag problems?
some pics:
colour difference
current takes?
I’m a total amateur and probably shouldn’t be adding any feedback lol but I don’t think you are near time to chop the flowering plant in your 5th pic, those white pistols should at least be orange before cutting but also possibly checking the trichomes. Your plant looks better than mine did and I somehow got about 90grams from my harvest. I think you should wait a bit longer before cutting. Some more pics of the flowering areas could be helpful for some other pros too. ![]()

i agree fam, in fact the ones getting cut are not in the pictures as I was mostly asking for help with the new grow’s issues XD
