I have a plant in veg (first grow), and I’ve notice after about 12 hours of light the plant begins to relax like it wants to go to sleep. It is under 19 hours of light but I think it’s telling me it wants to flower. Does this sound right-do they do that?
It’s been in veg longer than normal as it was going to be a mother, and I changed my mind due to the size/quantity of tops.
Pics would help @Legalinmaine
And that doesn’t sound right to me?
Clone seems to be a little better but not much.
The big plant(lights on at 6:00am) after 6-7:00pm relaxes. During the day, most of the leaves are higher, sort of reaching up to the light.
If you watch time lapse videos, it seems they all sleep (or droop a bit) during lights out. Mine does it about 5-6 hours before they go out. I’m just not sure it’s normal.
Yeah lights out the drooping is normal not sure about when lights on maybe
@Majiktoker or @garrigan62 can help answer your question better bro
I’m interested in the answer myself
I’ve never noticed that happening on mine ?
There are 3 reasons which one seems to fit, over and underwatering, and last of all folding down to get light to the insides which seems to be what she is doing @Countryboyjvd1971, and @Legalinmaine, it is very common on outdoor grows when growing natural and no one to prune if you dont prune indoors same thing will happen
Thanks @Majiktoker that makes sense to me
And I’ve never witnessed it because I prune my plants huummm🤔Interesting
Yup I see it alot hold on ill get a pic
She is perfect in almost every way but see how she is some what folding for light to hit deeper, she had a moment of underwatering in process of being corrected and has lots of bending to go
I’m going to need to observe mine a little closer now and watch for this
But is it a problem if it happens
should you prune a little if you notice this or just let it be ?
Leave it be its not a problem or nothing to be concerned about its natural as I mentioned above lol
Thanks again brother
My pleasure bro tag me if you need me again
You know I will your my go to hahaha
@Countryboyjvd1971 and @Majiktoker
It’s completely normal for many plants leaves to rise before lights on and droop before lights off.
It will stop when you get some decent buds on them.
This is completely normal. I’t’s called " Cicadiar Rhyhon " aka life’s natural cycle of rest.
My first grow I was freaking out, but it’s perfectly normal.
Will
Thanks @garrigan62
@Legalinmaine was asking if 5 or 6 hours before lights out was normal ?
If it is than great
I just never noticed my plants doing it that far before lights out
Thanks for name of it other than that i stated it was normal above as well as natural process most commonly seen outdoors lol and posted a pic of my plant for an example lol
I like to consider is as, my plant is breathing
Cool, good to know.
Here’s a cool photo of one of my fim cuts. I’d say it worked, not that I need more tops because there are a ton on this plant. I just wanted to try it but I think the other one I did only had two or three come up.
There’s actually one more small one that I didn’t count because it’s still below the rest.
Unless I’m not counting right, they all start from the spot I cut so I think I am…
So iv learned the girls will sleep with reduced light has anybody else tried this approach? 18 hrs of strong light 6 reduced by half, and plants lay down for a nap. This batch is 3 weeks in and they seem to be responding well
