Has anyone seen anything like this? A single plant out of 190 in the garden is showing this abnormal bud development and significantly decreased and/or inconsistent trichome production. Some buds are loaded heavily with trichomes and most are almost bare. It kind of appears as if it’s revegging. I did find a single pollen herm site so there’s likely some stress on the plant.
Under the microscope there are no signs of bugs or any other abnormalities.
I have not seen your particular condition. It is sort of weird.
A couple of years ago I had a plant with half of each leaf petal was green and the other half was yellow…this on half of the plant. The other half of the plant was normal. The yellow half of the leaves grew slower than the green half resulting in some weird leaf structure.
It looks like you may have a similar asymmetrical mutation. Others with more experience may shed more light on the situation.
That is called verigation and I’ve seen it as a recessive mutation in some strains. If the plants are stressed it will show more. It was actually kind of beautiful. We have almost albino buds on a blue dream.
