Show and tell time

Hi everyone, it’s my first ever go at growing under lights, normally it’s one or two in the garden but thought I’d see how I go at indoor growing.
I brought Grand Daddy Purple seeds and so far I’ve had good success.
It’s spring time here in Australia so it won’t be long before the hot weather starts.
Just wondering if I put a GDP in the garden how it will go in our hot humid summers, bud rot would be my first concern, anyone here in Aus that has grown GDP outside?
I’ll share my baby which is at 5 wks from turning the lights down to 12/12.
If something doesn’t look right please let me know.
I’ll take pics with lights on and off.

She’s beautiful looking

As long as the temps don’t go past 35 celcius you’ll be pretty safe otherwise you need a more heat resistant strain like sour diesel or a afghani breed

Thanks mate, it’s a bit of hit and miss at the moment, think my outdoor knowledge has helped a bit

Nice plant, good job :+1:

Just looks a little sparse in the middle

I’ve also just brought Purple Haze, Purple Kush and Gold Leaf

The haze is for sure heat resistant and kushes come from India do decently heat resistant to im not sure what the gold leaf genetic history is

Thanks Green, the gold leaf is a strain that Robert from ILGM developed.

Unfortunately they keep the lineage pretty guarded. Actually growing a GDP and gold leaf right now. We’re pretty close to the same age. Close to 4 weeks from light flip. I don’t do outdoor due to pretty similar climate in the summer. Gold leaf is in the scrog and GDP au naturel other than being topped.

You have done a fantastic job, they look very healthy. The Gold leaf grows very fast… and it shows in your pic lol.
Bloody great set up though

It really does. That’s why I put it in a scrog. But then the GDP went wild. I’d try the gold leaf outside. Don’t think the GDP will do well in that climate but worth a shot if you have an extra seed. The gold leaf may do well and will be a big plant.

I grew autflower g scout extremes outdoor in 95 f temps. They did well. I think marijuana plants in general are survivors.
2 questions
@BobbyDigital what kind of lights are u using ?

And a question about scrog, which I’ve never done… The reason I haven’t tried it, is it seems u can never mover the plant once you have scrogged. Can you guys comment on that please !

The lights are HLG 135 rspecs. The scrogged plant is pretty much set in stone unless you build the scrog frame on a base with casters. The net will come off when she’s down to around 2 weeks left.

@BobbyDigital
Have u found in your experience any cons that you can’t move the plants or get in between them after scrog?

Btw, the hlg 135 seems to be sold out everywhere. Was the assembly hard? U need electrician experience ?

No 2 screws and plug it in. Even my hlg 360 elite took 15 mins and that one needed minor wiring the smaller ones don’t just attach the driver and plug in into the board.

Good, I’m known to electrocute myself doing basic chores lol.
I’ve been shopping lights for almost a month, and it seems the hlg s are superior to alot of the lights at least in my budget. I am now thinking about spider farmer or hlg. Spider because they are more inexpensive
