Starting to fight bud rot do to heavy rains and heavy dew evey nignt should i harvest early
you have to wait for each pic to upload at 100% before you hit reply. We cannot see your pics.
You was replying faster than i could edit bro lol
Alot of those trichomes dont even have heads on them yet. There wouldn’t be much THC if you harvest now. I would try to find a way to dry the buds off with a fan or something to delay the rot…
That’s how we roll!! I see straight white pistils in the top pic. Sugar leaves are not the focus when looking at trichs. Zoom in on the bud structure, and a whole plant pic will also help. Mold/bud rot is such a bummer. I do not grow outside and have yet to have bud rot. Although I know basically how to deal with it, the outdoor growmies can assist much better than I can. @JaneQP grows outside alot and can maybe help out here.
Thx for the tag @Bonjoyle
I lost a cola to bud rot last year. I believe @Caligurl has dealt with it and may have some tips.
Theyre such nice looking plants, its a shame growmie and I feel for you. I also found a few gonna just pick at it every couple days and see what left when ripe.
@Jaysittinback that’s all we can do bro hope for the best
Maybe you could get some row covers to keep the moths and butterflies off. They only need enough to lightly cover the colas. I also use PureCrop1 mixed with BT. Cut all the rot off and make sure you take plenty of food bud with it. I’d bag the cola first too to keep the spores from spreading
@Caligurl i don’t seem to have a moth or butterfly problem i have alot of heavy dew falling at night on thick buds. And what is BT?
Elsewhere I read white rot is mold and brown rot is catepillar or moth poop-infectecd Id sure like to know if that’s true cuz that would be useful also spacing them out so they wont find them all maybe only lose one
@danniep40 there any way you could go out and take all the big leaves off tomorrow that might help just a idea looks really good
@Vtbudz yeah i am going to strip them down and top dress again
@MartyMarajuanaseed @MidwestGuy @Vtbudz @Jaysittinback do yall thank I could put a green house over plants now temperatures have cooled down
Id try that, if rot spread and too far gone Id have itfor next yr
I think that would work great outside. Its what i plan to do once it is legal in my state. I have my medical card and waiting and ready.
BT is Bacillus thuringiensis. It works by the caterpillars ingesting it. Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) is a naturally occurring bacterium, common in some soils, that causes disease in certain insects, most notably leaf and needle feeding caterpillars.
