Should I flush?

Hey everyone,

First time this close to harvest and I checked the Trichromes again today and saw a patch of the top cola that had some amber trichromes in it.
I didn’t get the best picture but you can see which ones are amber.
I only saw one patch so I know there’s still time. I also am going for full indicia effect.

These are same cola but not nearly as much amber seen.

Thanks everyone for your time and replies. It’s always much appreciated.

Also.
The previous pictures are my GDP.

These are my Durban Poison. Looking for 100% Sativa effect on these.
With it being my first time I just wanna make sure I don’t mess it all up by not flushing in time.

If you are going to flush, now would be time to start, they have a week mabey two to finish ambering.

For sativa high, I’d say the DP is about ready to chop. How long has it flowered?

About 5 weeks max id say for the Durban. 4 for the GDP.

I was thinking the same for the Durban honestly. I appreciate the advice!

If it’s 5 weeks, it’s not ready but the trichs look cloudy to me! I’ve been fooled before……

GDP at 4 wks should not have amber trichs!

At most it would be 5 weeks for GDP.
But then that would mean week 6 for Durbans. The Durbans flowered a week prior to the GDP. I missed the exact day that the pistils appeared on the GDP but it couldn’t have been but a day or two before when I did notice.

I always keep a written log of every grow, every feed date, feed ec and ph, runoff EC and ph, seed drop dates, transplant dates, flip date……you get the idea. I think it would help you too. I would hold off if your sure of the timing but the trichs tell a different story.

I usually log bigger events like flowering, transplants if it happens, planting dates, etc. not so much pH and what not because I always get it between 6.4-6.6 6.39 and below or 6.61 and higher are not acceptable imo.

I visit my girls multiple times a day and inspect them from head to toe. I’m like 99.9% positive about flowering dates. But I have been wrong before. I have it wrote down that the first GDP(the one we’re focused on right now) started 8/14. I was told thought that when the hairs have developed up to the top cola and over the rest of them is when to consider flowering to begin. Correct me if I’m wrong. If that’s incorrect then add a week to flowering.

Durbans are 7 weeks 1 day old and GDP are almost 7 weeks in a few days. So with 3 weeks of veg each they’d both be in-between 4-5 weeks of flowering.

I consider them in flower when they develop easily distinguishable bud sites with white pistols starting.

Yeah then they’re only like 4, going on 5 weeks into flowering then ATM.

With the time they’ve been flowering in mind, I think you may have caught a sugar leaf in the one picture. Their trichomes get amber pretty early on.

There are exceptions but most flower for 9-12 weeks from what I’ve noted from seed banks, blogs, etc. They could plump up a lot between now and then!

I know it isn’t ideal but I put my camera right on top of the bud. So unfortunately I do know it was the cola itself and not a sugar leaf. I will double check though. I can show you the camera soon. Helping my mom now

Yeah it was on the cola not the sugar leaf for the GDP.

What do the rest look like? Are they all going cloudy? If so that sends really quick.

I did have Bruce Banner finish much quicker than her sister (4 weeks quicker), so it’s possible.

I am seeing sugar leafs. Green leaf shapes are very apparent. Also, hold a hand over the phone or take outta tent for pix. You’re more than likely seeing refracted light. GDP is an easy 10 wks. Durbans are a toss up with modern versions, but 12 wks isn’t unusual. Landrace Durbans hit the 14+ wks mark.

Edit: no flash or everything goes white

They are all getting cloudy but only the one nug is getting amber for the GDP. As far as the Durban there are a decent chunk still clear. So I think they still need time.

I guess it kinda just took me by surprise to see amber trichromes.

I actually had the led light on the camera. I will try again in a bit without it and see if I get same results.
Definitely waiting a while knowing that lifespan.

Thanks as always.
