⚡ ShockDog's Grow Journal

@ShockDog thanks for the tag brother! Your ladies look beautiful. Thats a nice harvest for sure! I’ll be chopping my flower tent sunday and wet trimming all night and all day monday. Jacks 321 and canna coco is working out great for me! Im also running an experiment with rain science vs ac infinity 3 gal grow bags. So far im leaning towards the rain science bags as they day a day quicker than the fabric pot

So, my coco should arrive today or tomorrow (I hope so! My seeds are already germinated and ready!!! So I needed a new PH pen because I have gone through maybe four of those yellow Vivosun monstrosities now and I needed an upgrade. I didn’t upgrade MUCH but I picked this one up at Hydro Life which is a local hydroponics store that @Graysin suggested to me. This was my first time in a hydro store and I felt like a kid in a candy store!! So awesome. Great people behind the counter. Anyway, I got this HM ph pen for fifty bucks. It comes with the storage solution and all that jazz so it’s already an upgrade from that Vivosun pen. We’ll see how it goes! :grinning:

Hope that pen works out for you. I think storage solution is key to keeping your ph pen accurate.

I’ve been using that exact pen about 2 years now. Been good to me.

Just reminded me that I haven’t calibrated mine in a while. I’ll tackle that tonight.

Great to hear. I could have spent 120 on a blue lab but decided to hold off for a spell.

Absolutely.

Glad you enjoyed Hydro Lyfe, @ShockDog
Next time you’re in town, holler, we should grab some coffee. :v:

Get it on Amazon. HL is great but the BlueLab is cheaper online :joy::rofl::sweat_smile:

Really? Which one? I was looking at this one…

It’s $249 plus $30 tax up here in Canada! Altho this does pH and TDS. The Apera was $300 plus and only pH!

Man, we get ripped off up here!

Definitely. :grinning:

I have that pen. I rinse and clean with a small soft brush after each use and calibrate every couple weeks and never let the tip dry. 7.0 stprage liquid is good idea.
