I have a vivosun 4’x4’ tent. I currently grow with a 315 CMH lamp, and a 6" exhaust fan system.
I am looking at a 200W AeroLight SE light system, with 6" exhaust fan and WI-fi controller. Is 200W led sufficient for my tent? Vivosun package for $299, is this a good buy? Does anyone have experience with these products. Also worth noting, I am having humidity problem in the new environment I moved to, which is the main reason to change, so will this work for me? with tent door open I am still way to high humidity, need to get it lower as I am starting into bud. Thanks in advance for your input, it is appreciated!
Do a search on this forum for wattage needed per square foot. Much has been discussed about this topic. 30-50 watts per square foot is debated if we should look at wattage. I think much depends on the brand of light, led etc.
I’ve used Vivosun brand products fans, tent dehumidifier and controller . Haven’t had any issues with their products. I would suggest getting a dehumidifier for sure if your humidity is to high. I keep mine around 40 in flowering stage to prevent bud mold. I’m finding that there is a lot of variables in growing. What works for one may not work for another. I have a friend who owns a hydroponic store and grows 40 plants at a time. He Says you can’t flower properly with less than a 650 watt light. Im having good success taking his advice
Talked to a guy at a local grow store today, he recommended at least 400 watt led for a 4’ x 4’ tent. So now looking at higher wattage. This is going to be a big change for me. Looking forward to automating my grow, so 1 or 2 visits to the tent a day is sufficient, instead of every 2 hours or less when light is on. Monitor it from anywhere with wi-fi controller.
Nothing like peaking in the tent to check on the babies. When they grow an inch or two a day it’s so cool to see the master piece take shape.
I have a 4x4 with a spider farmer sf-4000 led. First run was great but now I’m using autopots and it’s not enough. Dialed in tent with good genetics and autopots I find 400 watt isn’t enough coverage. In my experience I’d rather have a light that’s too much vs not enough. Just my 2 cents.
