Ahh I see. I was thinking more of money saving on electricity, would be handy in case of a power outrage but we haven’t had one so far so not too worried. Got any advice on cheap lights low heat and high lumens?
Viparspectra 600 or up and those Galaxy Hydro’s you can’t beat the coverage you get with one high power and 4 54w or 108w in the corners, 54 watts is for like 36x36 to 48x48 and the other are better suited for larger tents, I like the Viparspectra as the longevity time on them is 100000 hours and the Galaxy Hydro due to them being water proof, foliar spraying is a great way to make up for cutting your nutrients direct to the plant, to avoid nutrient burn, so if in you foliar spray, you add a minute amount of nutrients to that spray, you can actually give it a lot of what you could not direct or that is my opinion lol
Interesting… So you spray the leaves ect with a nutrient and water spray? Instead if direct to roots? I’m thinking a mars 600 or the viper to. Viper has less actual watts… not sure which ones the best
I like either but the hours of operation are my determining factor mar’s hydro is 50k viparspectra is 100k hours, as far as spraying your plant’s, keep in mind the size of a spray bottle and the size of a gallon jug and the recommended amount, cut in half, then do the same for your size spray bottle, that is if your using liquid nutrients, I still supply the root’s with half the recommended dosage of the fertilizer, that’s every time, I water my plant’s, every other day or so, my meter tells me when to water, it’s a science too lol
I have used this meter for a couple of years easy peezy Mine is slightly different age does that lol
Very cool! I have 10buckets. Supposedly meant to to circulate but they don’t properly with the way I have them set up. So I’d need.loads.of them! I’d love an automatic ph adjuster to but would need 10 again like I say.
NOW! for the fun part. Would you go for… x3 mars 600 light (actual power draw totals 780watt!!)
Or… the mars hydro 2 actual wattage 552

Q
I’m going to say screw it and sell my 600w kit and second hand noisy hot LED to put towards them
Are you dealing with Bruce? At mars Hydro
Nope just on eBay, deciding between which lights to go for to add to my tent and for my next tent after this crop. Currently got 700w actual LED and I’m trying to get bare minimum 2 oz per plant
this light is top of the line from Mar’s Cree 2 but cover your corners under canopy weed is under rated it get’s pittance for light, invest in corner lighting too
Under canopy? Wouldn’t that burn the bottom of the leaves with a mars 600?
Galaxy hydro 54w or galaxy hydro 108w light’s in the corners of your tent, with the light from above
sir
check my tent
Hmm what i was thinking is having 3 mars 600 almost touching another and then another 700w of LED on the other side of the tent, meaning 1.2 x 1.2 x 2m space gets 700 actual LED watts. Think I’d really need under canopy lighting also? Could always get some I guess?
Have you grown before and what yields have you had if So
?
There is such a thing as too much light lol the right amount of light spread evenly is another story lol
my last crop was, Sour d I got 7 or 8 1 quart mason jars full and had star dawg growing at the same time, it gave me 1 ball mason 1 quart, it did not have a chance to veg lol I screwed that up but you live and you learn lol
Didn’t you weigh it in? Good job anyway, any harvest is a successful harvest!
I’m pretty sure you can use a 600w hps in a 4 x 4 foot right? So my thinking is 700w of LED in that same space should be just dapper.
May as well go all in and then if it’s too much take one or two out, I’ll need more some time soon anyway
