You got it sis!
On a good note, I triple-checked GG#2 and all flowers look normal… no signs of male anywhere… it must have just been the angle I took that pic at.
You don’t have to get all giddy about it.
Glad they’re all female Cali.
@IJen this is how you tag someone… I just tagged you to my journal. If you want to join in and follow along, just wet to “Watching” at the bottom of the page.
My first grows were indoors, but now I start my grows indoors and kick them out in late May.
Again, Welcome to the forum!
Welcome @IJen !!! Best forum on the internet!!!
@Flitme - here’s my current grow. Not much happening really but I would love to have you here
Thank you for the invite. I would be happy to join your grow.
Yay! Thanks for being here!
It’s a start
I’m working on an insect list with pics, but here’s a very quick pic of the most common ‘bad’ bugs
It’s been a while since I updated the whole plant pics.
Yesterday, they all got a combo of both @roadsideorganics.ok Green Mountain Veg and Back Road Blooms. Along with that, I added a little bit of worm castings, some Recharge, blood meal, and oyster shell.
I did more defoliation and inspected a lot of the leaves I removed, and didn’t see any signs of bugs other than some aphid poop but I think it’s old. I’m still going to do a preventative spray just because.
And a new fire burning near us… 9 miles north of us there are evacuation warnings… luckily the river is between the fire and us and the winds mainly blow north…
I beg to differ.
Thank you sir! That’s awesome.
It’s endearing when you all take my nonsense seriously.
Is that 12” aluminum flashing round them pots? I have a few of those rings I made up
I hope you don’t mind but I stole your picture to share with others, I will put your name on it. This is something very much needed, thank you for putting in the work ma’am
And your forest is really beautiful
Earwigs and Sowbugs are considered beneficial, so they shouldn’t make the chart.
Earwigs hunt aphids. I have them in my pots with pillbugs (wood lice) for decomposers of decaying plant mater in the mulch layer. Both are also worm safe. The earwigs may get an occasional newly hatched baby worm, but it doesn’t effect my population.
It is. I decided for the watering system this year to use an actual small sprinkler instead of drip line. Like this:
I didn’t feel I was getting good coverage with drip line. But then with the sprinkler, I was losing a lot of water going over the sides of the barrel so I put the flashing there to keep the water in and watering to the side of the pot.
Oh, Sorry, that’s not the one I was working on. I just grabbed that off the internet until I"m done with mine. Like @Budbrother just said the earwigs and sowbugs weren’t even going to be on my list. Also not on my list is the Spittle bug only because I don’t ever even see them and I’m just going by what I know I don’t want in my gardens.
