Seriously… only 2 for 2024

I’ve been to Alberta twice in the last two years, moose hunting and was shocked at the density of the forest. We called it ‘Vietnam’. Last October we got to see the result of all of the fires in Western Alberta: one block would be burned, the next not. It pushed a lot of the animals out and was a tough hunt because of that.

The Sierra club is responsible for the California ‘no burn’ policy and has a lot to answer for. I lived most of my life on the Central Coast and had to deal with fires first hand. We had one that was less than 1/2 mile from our house. The current fire by Zaca lake is about 25 miles from where I lived.

It’s been a week since my last update and I didn’t take pics yet. A few days ago, I gave them a preventative PureCrop 1 spray. Also noticing some calcium deficiencies so I sprinkled some of my organic tomato fertilizer on and watered it in (It’s high in calcium and all I had time to do that day).

For fun, I’ve been rooting a cutting I took from one of the plants (I believe it was from GF #2). It’s been rooting in water so now I need to gently get it used to soil because water roots are different than soil roots. I’ve been reading some stuff on how to do it so I’ll give it a go LOL. I have no intentions of growing this thing out… it was just to see what I can do and cannot do for cloning this way.

14 days from cutting to this:

And for fun… hubs is adding another pond downstream… it’s really big. It’s not full of water yet so we can still work on the edges but since it doesn’t flow through the other ponds yet, the water is nice and clean and cool… I’ve been wading in to cool off so now I told hubs I want him to build me a wave pool!

He places the rocks and I morter them in.

Then this guy sneaked up on me to get a drink LOL. He was really close but everything is so dry I’m sure getting fresh water was worth the risk.

The new pond looks awesome! I love the look of stone. The multi levels are gonna be so cool. Nothing relaxes like the sound of little waterfalls. That buck has a hella rack on it. Great picture. :sunglasses::+1:t2:

Literally a super awesome farmer!!! Ya gonna have to guide my slow ass through the transition because :joy::joy::joy::rofl::rofl: “I’m a happy idiot :musical_score: :notes: waving at cars “

Omg!!! I’m kinda glad I killed all those clones :joy::joy::joy::rofl: cause I have no home for them!:joy::joy: now the two or three on the table lol :joy: I’m gonna have to start hooking to get a light for them!

Any buyers? :joy::joy::joy::rofl::rofl::crazy_face::crazy_face::crazy_face:

Tell the truth dang it!!! You’re my teacher and you wanted me to see how to do it, cause I was LITERALLY about to borrow $100 from my brother for a clone machine that was not even necessary!!!

And THIS is why I’m so humble and grateful for you!

It’s a simple process of adding a bit of soil to the water each day until it’s full. Then cut holes in the solo and drain. Dry out as normal a couple times and transplant. I recently walked @TheAbu95 through the water rooting and conversion

Blew my mind lol, it seams to simple to work but it does! Took awhile for the roots to get started but after 3-4 weeks they started popping off those little water roots and i added a dash of dry soil everyday until the water turned to moist soil. It was really fun watching the process happen!!

I just changed the water as usual (every day), then filled it just past the water roots with decomposed granite. Then it said to remove about 1 Tablespoon of water a day. So kinda the same principal but still no real soil. I wonder if that will work

I wish I had done 2 cuttings (or more) so I could try 2 (or more) different methods. Maybe next time. I’m not planning on doing anything with this clone other than I was just trying something different to see how it went for me rather than just reading about it LOL. I like to see side by side methods… hmmm… it’s still not too late. I have one of my plants is definitely showing it’s Sativa prominent traits as it’s not really begun to flower yet…

Finally have pics of the flower sites. African Buzz still lagging way behind with GF #2 in the lead

GF #2 looks odd in the pic… Almost looks like nanners in the middle… I’m going to have to go check it out again…

And a new resident to the enclosure… an Orb Weaving Spider. It now joins 2 lizards, 2 tiny frogs, about 6 jumping spiders. And NO signs of any bad bugs in any of the many leaves I scoped.

I don’t see why not. It gives something for the roots to attach to. I’m just wondering about the weight of the decomposed granite when you try to remove the clone. Will that tear the roots?

I’m gonna need a comprehensive chart of both good and bad bugs. :joy::rofl::rofl::sunglasses::metal:t2:

Beware of litter bugs. They could be lurking around anywhere. Seems they’re impossible to control. They kinda look like people, that just don’t give a damn. Hard to distinguish them from the rest of the species.
