Hi everyone!
Can someone help me understand why the tips are changing colors like this? New grower here and just trying to understand. Thank you.

Burned tips tend to be nitrogen toxicity. What soil are you in, what is your runoff PPM, and what product are you feeding it (if any at this point)? Do you know the runoff pH?
Itâs not too bad, so should be easy to correct. Donât worry about those bottom leaves. Itâs normal for them to yellow and fall off.
@Mm2021 Painted her nails lol!! She found a hot spot in the soil and sheâs showing an excess of N. Itâs just a threshold but donât push her past it or the N will burn her up. ![]()
Hi @Fieldofdreams,
Thank you for your insights!
How do you mean by âdonât push her pass itâ and its a âthresholdâ?
It means you are pushing her to the edge of overfeeding.
@GreggT with the gotchabackbro!! Ty sir!!
Yeah what he
said lol. When you see the tips burn itâs a sign that theyâve reached their current maximum intake of N. More and that burn can be fatal for the plant. Detrimental for certain. I like to push them here though. I keep hearing less is more but Iâm having a difficult time not helicopter dad-ing these girls lol. I hover. Itâs a wonder I donât overwater too lol.
Plant showing signs that your soil is a little hot.
water only for now an it should be fine in the long run. Good luck ![]()
Hi everyone, here is an update:
I have a similar issue on a few Iâm growing. Iâd love to hear others thoughts. Originally I thought it was simply the FFOF was super hot but we havenât outgrown it yet lol.
They look beautiful! How look did they take to grow? I dropped my seed in the soil at 12/7/22.
Also, do you happen to know when I should start switching my lighting to 12/12? Currently itâs at a 18/6.
