My seeds sprouted practically overnight and look too tall. I started them indoors and put them outside for sun today Fl 82 degrees. Should I bank them up like tomato seedlings?
Do you have a pic you could post? Also how far away is the light source?
If they get to leggy, you can support them with something; and then when you transplant to your next pot, you can bury it deeper to support the stem.
If it’s tall, it is typically becasue it is trying to grow towards light. Mine grow about an inch and then stop for a few days while they establish roots and their first sets of leaves.
The light source is the sun in my lanai. I put the seedlings outside an hour ago, and banked the seedlings up with potting soul
That’s fine and done normally. Be very careful you don’t cook your seedlings; shade is better than sun right now.
The stem looks pretty thick in relation to the height…but I’m a noob
I gently scooped potting soil around the stems. They are indoors now. Guess I’ll put them outdoors in the shade tomorrow?
