I could really use some help. I get the seed to sprout with no problem (using paper towel method). Then transplant the sprouted seed to these small pots 75mm X 75mm (3" X 3"). They then grow to this size, see pics, and then just stop doing anything. I am using Westland seed compost mixed with 30 to 40% perlite. These are nearly 3 weeks old now. I spray the top of the soil with water every couple days. I also have them in my tent with another plant that is much bigger and in veg stage. I maintain the temperature around 22 - 25C. On a 18/6 LED light schedule. I’m just lost at this point and really need some help. To much light? Not enough humidity? Should I dome them? Any and all help very much appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to the forum.
The most common cause of seedling loss is overwatering. They should only be given a few ml of water per day.
Your pics didn’t fully upload. Wait until they are 100% processed before posting. It takes a moment because the site removes metadata (personally identifiable information such as the GPS coordinates of where the photo was taken) from uploaded photos.
Seedlings can go 2 weeks with no water.
Research dome watering technique for keeping seedling stalks dry.
Taking forever to upload these pics.
You must repost them…wait until 100% uploaded before posting.
Looks like overwatering, that medium is drenched and can dampen off a tiny seedling. Keep the temps around 78-85 with an RH of 65-75% and water 2 shot glass sizes every 3-4 days ![]()
The problem is overwatering. Let that soil dry out before watering again. It’s way, way too wet. Water should be measured in ml at this point. More than that will cause root rot and kill them.
Suggest one pot per plant. Multiple plants in the same pot will compete for water and food. Additionally, they may mature at different rates. You will have a problem on your hands later in the grow.
I will up the temp and have added domes to the pots to raise the RH, my tent is currently around 45% RH. Not watering anymore for a while either. I’m going to make a separate space for seedlings too. They are in my tent with a 1200w LED. I think the light is to strong. I have a couple extra LED lights that are dimmable and only 600w. I’ll get them under one of those at sort of 50% power. Probably should have mentioned the seeds these sprouted from are at least 6 years old. They are random ones I saved over the years from bags I bought. I have several 100, no idea what variety they are, but hey, they were free lol

I was hoping these would catch up with the Jack Herer I have in the tent. Ill be putting that into flower in about 2 weeks. Dont want that turning into a monster. Only have a 2x4x5ft tall tent.
I completely agree with the 1 plant per pot, I am stopping watering for a bit too. Cheers
I expect you will find this helpful:
Thanks for that, I have downloaded it. Just couldn’t find anything specific to the situation with these seedlings. Nothing with pictures anyway - thats why I posted here. Really do appreciate the help. Cheers
It is a lot of good information for new growers. Every one of the experienced growers here made the very same mistakes you are making. Many think that cannabis is a “weed” and can be grown under any conditions. Nothing could be further from the truth. You have to manage proper soil, proper watering, good nutrients at the proper soil concentration,…
Stick around, start a journal for your grow, post updates and questions, and learn from experience. You’ll be an expert in no time.
