Seedlings are puny,

Planted seeds on 3-10, when popped out they were very small. Now on the 13 they are growing but still look tiny compared to past grows. I am worried they are no viable. Has anyone else had this problem? Using cfl lighting and about 5 inches above them. going to germinate few more in case they are bad.

Welcome to ILGM, @LAnewgrower!

It could just be that the genetics are different from your previous grows. Or the seeds might actually be bad, like you said. It’s best if you fill out a support ticket rather than all of us just guessing. When your probationary period on the forum allows you to post pictures, those will help too.

ILGM Support Ticket:

What is the strain and type(unknown bag seed, strain name, regular seeds, feminized seeds, auto-flower, etc)?

Indoor or Outdoor? If outdoor, planted in ground or in a container?

Size of space (max height and area, length/width)?

Soil or Hydro? Type of Medium used? System type?

pH? Of the soil or medium (root zone/reservoir/run-off) and of the water and/or nutrient mix that is fed to the plant?

Type and strength of nutrients used? NPK? EC/TDS/PPM levels? Of what you feed it as well as what is in the water by itself and in the soil/medium (run-off), or reservoir.

Temperature? Day vs. night temp or highest and lowest temps? Root zone temps?

Humidity %? Day vs. night

Light system/watts/lumens/FLUX/PAR?

Ventilation system? Size? CFM? CO2? AC, Humidifier, De-humidifier?

Number “weeks/days” from into Season, Vegetative Growth or Bloom/flowering?

Add anything else you feel would help us give you a most informed answer. Feel free to elaborate, but try to be brief and to the point. Short and to the point questions and/or facts will help us help you. :v:

Thank you so much for your reply, will add more info soon.

I have had several plants that was over 1 1/2 months old they wasn’t taller than 3” and bam, they ended up over 75” each plant. Don’t count them out just yet because they may shock you. Unless they are Autos and mine was Photoperiod plants.

Welcome to the community.

Thanks for the reply, these are white widow autos. i will post more info later. So happy to be here

Autos don’t grow like Photos so not a big concern at the size. Bow deficiencies is a different matter.

My puny girls have started to grow, just one month and I am torturing a few of them on a regular basis. Hope they turn out good. Using my compost with rotten table scraps mixed in on the bottom.

@MrPeat Hello to you, hope your day is a great one. Just wanted to say your were spot on, the once puny girls have taken off. Am really topping a few but leaving two alone. First time growing inside, my technique is not the best but am doing the best I can.

Autos are doing good, 2 in heavy flower, 2 just starting and 1 oddball just keeps growing. Started a fem plant to have more fun training her. Topped her early and often. Got her tied down to the ground tight, gonna let her get off the ground now.

Glad it worked out for you. :+1::+1::+1:

@MrPeat, you and every one on the site helped me, by reading as much as I can I have learned so much.
