Seedlings and Clones (guidance)

Ok, so I’m in the middle of flower on my very first run (that @Lostgirl has been helping me with tremendously) and it’s going pretty well. I understand the feeding and watering now thanks to the huge amount of guidance she has provided. I got those 4 plants (clones - photos) when they were about 5 weeks old, so kinda “bigger”.

Well, at the end of April, before I flipped to flower I cut some clones of my plants and germinated 4 new seeds. I figured I wouldn’t be successful because the only experience I have is from watching videos and reading. As luck would have it, they all made it…

My seedlings germinated and were planted beginning of May, so they’re under 3 weeks only. I’ve been maintaining the seedlings and clones under a crappy light for the past two weeks, but new light arrives this week. I was kinda trying to slow roll the seedlings for the tent to open up, this 4 I will transfer into the tent when my current run is finished.

For the seedlings, at what point do I transplant? Currently they’re in 4” pots. And watering, at what point do I start to water them to runoff? I’m currently giving them just enough water around the edge of the pots and they’re drying out daily. So I’m watering them once a day. They’re all in happy frog soil and will transplant into the same.

For the clones - when can I top them? Also, when do I start to water till runoff?

Honestly, I figured none of them would’ve have made it because of the horror stories I read about germinating and cloning… so I have a conundrum. I was thinking about begging them till beginning of July and then moving those outside once more established. The other option is to keep them vegging and only keep the stronger plants to be used for a perpetual veg/clone. The clones are ready for transplanting this week and will go into 3 gal fabrics containers.

I bit off a little more than I can chew :expressionless:, like everything I do, I go in full-force.

Welcome to my headache.:rofl::rofl: depends on the space and amount of light you have. If you have enough for all of em go for it. Ive had as many as 17 at one time flowering. If you dont have the space and light, cull what you dont like , transplant the ones you chose and enjoy the journey!

You need to cover your clear pots. Roots do not like direct light and will develop algae. You don’t want that. Tape or black sharpie or even different starter pots. Looking good tho. Nice problem to have when everything survives.

Thanks for the advise, they’re getting transplanted this week :+1:t3::+1:t3:

Good to go then.

You can top the clones at 4-5 nodes. That is preference. As for theoutside question, I only grow indoors currently although I have a 50 gallon set up in the backyard and was planning on trying one outside this year. Been struggling with getting this one healthy before I put her outside.

Nodes are a bit confusing with clones (to me anyway). The plants aren’t symmetrical :open_mouth:
