Start light remember they have never seen nutes yet so start 1/4 strength and gradually raise
You need to mix cal mag with the nutrients in the feed chart and check the EC (ppm) and confirm it is 1.0. If any higher then that you need to add more cal-mag water into the mix until the ec is 1.0. Coco has a fairly wide pH range it can tolerate and you might get by with a pH of 6.5 for a time, but the different nutrients are more effective at different pH ranges so using the same range every time might favor certain elements over others.
With coco you should water frequently and always with your feed water, never with plain water. You can mix up enough mixture for a few days at a time.
Thanks for the tips,
Here’s an update since i started feeding 2 days ago with a Ph of 5.8.
@Hellraiser
What do you mean by watering/feeding frequently?
Like once a day ? i usually feed once the top 2 inches are dry and when the cup is light.
I’m not comfortable linking to other competing websites, but search for “high frequency fertigation”. It is a growing theory where small frequent waterings create a more stable environment for the plant to grow in when using coco.
Coco should be kept around 5.8 like hydro
@Hellraiser
How’s she looking?
Looks much better!
When do you reckon she’ll hit veg?
@Hellraiser
Got some yellow tips on my leaves just wondering why it could be
Is it more affected on one side of the plant?
Yes, correct
Yeah seems the leaves on the right side of pic are more affected, which would point to something environmental, like is that side of the plant next to a fan or heater or humidier or closer to the light?
Yeah i thought that too, i’ve been having a fan on the plant constantly, it’s been very hot the last few days so i feel like that could be the reason.
Try to get the airflow more between the plant and the light rather than directly at the plant and try turning the plant 180 degrees to give that side a break.
Alright awesome, thanks for your help again. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Doing some Low Stress Training on her, first time doing it, Let me know if this is good or not please!
