So I’ve had some a** advice early on from growers I’ve known in my area in my early on growing stages. I figured I’d expel everything I’ve learned from them and take lessons from the highly suggested @Myfriendis410 and bring @Dman1969 along for the ride. I have a 3.9gal autopot which I will be using coco, perlite and jacks, currently have 3 ladies in flower stage in airpots which I think are taking their last breaths. Here’s the details so far and in 10 minutes I’ll post again with everything very detailed. I got 6 northern light seeds 3 photo 3 auto, 3 green gelato auto, 2 og kush photo. I got a 4x2x6 tent full ac infinity climate control. And a 2x2x4 to germinate seeds with decent equipment. Got all starter nutrient bags of jacks unopened and the whole foxfarm and bush doctor nute lineup. 20 gallons of buffered coco and perlite and 11 gal of a mixture of happy frog, ocean forest, stonington blend, perlite, and living soil amongst a lot of others. Here we go
I’m stoked for you and set to watching.
ALSO quick side question. I had a 2 in 1 exhaust fan I was using before ac infinity it’s rated up to 450cfm at its highest setting. Being that it’s not ac brand can I still hook it up as a “fan” and using it as intake? Even though it has high and low settings? (I don’t want passive airflow because my floor is on the less side of clean right there) or will it offset my controller climate settings
Going to tag along. Finishing my first grow in auto pots and coco. I’m a believer. If you like reading journals, you can keep tabs on my grow. This will take you to the last post in there. Good luck. Checkered Flag Grow - #524 by Flatnut

Have you figured out when you are doing your next seed drop?
I think I’m gonna drop 2 green gelatos using napkin method, one in a solo cup with holes and coco fed jacks right? So I can transplant to 3.9gal autopot, other going in 5gal airpot with coco and perlite also fed jacks. Thoughts?
First: I would like you to run photoperiods.
My preferred seed start method: shot glass of distilled water. Add 1/2 tsp (or so) of 3% peroxide. Drop seed. Every 24 hours add 1/2 tsp peroxide until seed pops.
Once you have a tail, place 1/4" deep in damp coco/perlite in a Solo cup. I wet the coco then squeeze out all of the excess water. Place under a 24/0 light schedule and if you have a heat mat, use it. Place a clear Solo cup over the bottom one (Bottom one should be colored).
When you see a sprout, mist the inside of the clear cup once a day with distilled water. No nutes for two weeks.
When seedling has grown to the diameter of the Solo cup it’s time to transplant and start to feed. Use Jack’s 3-2-1 program with silica at full strength (around 900 ppm). At this point you can change your lighting schedule as you see fit. I would suggest 18/6 for the start.
Watering/feeding sparingly until the plant can stand a good watering. Never use straight water as Jack’s can be fed start to finish. You will be top-feeding for a couple of weeks until plant is well established.
I would not run more than 3 plants in a 3 X 3.
Got all that set and ready quick question though. My bigger tent only has exhaust and humidifier right now. That’s all ac infinity has. What else is needed? I got fans, a intake with a filter going in rn, I got little heaters, is vpd more important than temp and humidity? Because it can get vpd where I need it but it’s like in the 70s Fahrenheit all the time and around the same little lower RH. But the vpd is always on point
It’s all going to depend on your ambient conditions. I live in a dry, high altitude city and do not need to run any environmental appliances like humidifiers and ac.
I would suggest you not install your filter until you are in flower: high humidity will wreck the activated charcoal in the filter.
It’s 60 degrees and 50% humidity outside. I got it running a auto setup for veg rn,
Got the 2 fans and a heater I can add but if the vpd is right am I good? I got a ac infinity outlet converter should I add a fan or heater? Or the intake
Yes, I also like to keep the VPD at either a nominal or a high VPD. Never a low one. You are wanting to have lots of nutrient transport and a high VPD will accomplish that.
All of that said; plants will learn to adapt to the ambient conditions. Yours are fairly benign. Where I live I don’t have to worry about bud rot and WPM so I just keep conditions at a moderately high VPD in flower.
