Seed storage help

New guy here. There are so many strains to choose from I’m like a big kid in a candy store.
My question is this-how long are seeds good for in “storage”? I’d like to buy a bundle pack of 3 different strains for my 1st purchase. I will only be growing 1 plant since it’s my first attempt at growing. @raustin @MAXHeadRoom @dbrn32

Seeds will last years if stored proper. Cool dark place in sealed bag or container

Wait till you order some. I have a few orders under my belt from ilgm, when those beans arrive it feels like Christmas Day for adults! Haha
Just for the record I’ve ordered a few of those mix packs. And yes I grow just for myself so it does seem like a lot of seeds. I put mine in a clean dry Rx bottle. Then I put those prescription bottles in a food storage bag and I use a FoodSaver machine and suck all the air out of it and seal it for storage. I love variety so I think those mix packs are awesome! I’m currently doing the pop culture mix pack. I’m so giddy for Harvest day but it’s a ways away. :+1::deciduous_tree:

You should see my wishlist. On the seed site I have nearly everything marked for wishlist hahaha. Most of the ones that aren’t marked is because I’ve already ordered them. Have a nice weekend

Exactly what @neckNflu said, but I also store mine in the refrigerator. The seeds should last for many years that way.

Thank you all for your help. I truly appreciate the help. @neckNflu @raustin @Liljoe
I’d love to be able to retire and grow.

I just store them in the frig in the packaging they can in. It works fine.

I agree, keep them cool, dark, and dry and should last a long time.

Good I’ve never bought seeds online and I’d rather buy more than I need. @dbrn32
We’ve discussed lighting and you suggested the HGL 260WATT quantum board led v2, are those easy to put together? I’d rather save the $35 assembly cost for something else. I might have asked before but is that light able to handle 2 plants in a 4x4 or should I stick to a 4x2?
Thx bro.

Very easy to put together. For a 2x4 I would go one xl 260 kit. For a 4x4 do two of them.
