@kaptain3d would have the best answer… but I would say I definitely stopped to early on mine now that I look back ![]()
You can do LST up until harvest if you need to tuck branches away or something.
HST, (high stress training) you have to stop, ideally, when the flowering stretch is over, imo… ![]()

Got to wait for them to upload brother
Well im sad they’re super tiny, wasn’t expecting them to flower so little, and they’re not purple, gonna try bigger pot next run, but I have to make some kind of money off this run or I’m out the game hopefully they get a little bigger ,
Although, I like how I have kept the plants almost at pot level with lst, are the clips HST? Also using lst and clips made the stalk and branches of one so thick and sturdy that lst is no longer and option, I’ve been reading around and seen that giving autos 24 hours of light makes them flower, or when they’re tap roots hit the bottom of a pot they start to flower is there any truth to this? If so I know what to do different next run
@Dforce @OGIncognito @kaptain3d @SnkeyezCobra @dirtydave @Storm @Spiney_norman @Graysin @BudzMS also thanks you guys for chiming in and helping me get to where I’m at now , if you could let me know what you think of the recent updates
Your ladies are looking great Growmie, autos will flower regardless of the light schedule. Don’t get disappointed by the size, their still growing and will fatten up. HST and LST are indoor techniques, let them go naturally outdoors ![]()
They look healthy agree with @OGIncognito no real need for LST outside but your doing a great job on the LST
If looking for size run a photo in with the auto. Let her veg out while auto grow. Flip her when big and run auto with HER on a 12/12. Can keep a harvest going and get the monster you want.
@Storm I don’t have money for grow lights, how do I flip outdoors
@Storm I grew some Reggie bay seed last year and they were photos, they grew to be monsters but were found right before they flowered and were murdered lol I live in the Bible Belt
Ahh my bad. Nature does it then.
@Storm i wanna turn this is to a grow tent lol Heisenberg, breaking bad style
I do not do outside. Not feasible here.
I agree with @OGIncognito . ![]()
You can still do it to provide more airflow, or if you like to “play” with your plants

They’re too young to be purple. Most phenotypes don’t show coloring until their last couple weeks of flowering.
Try nursery bags ($10 on Amazon for a million year supply) - start your seeds in those nested inside a solo cup. Once you see a root - any root at all - poking out of it, put her in her final home. 3 or 5 gal fabric pots are my suggestion for autoflowers but use whatever you have handy.
Nope. Clips are just controlled LST.
No, it’s just urban legend because people aren’t happy with “they flower when they want.” I do believe lots of stress can trigger flowering. I FIM rather than top my autos, because topping can be stressful. 24 hours of light is not stressful unless you have bad conditions (too hot, way too bright, etc). Tap roots will necessarily always hit the bottom of the pot, and they tend to do it faster than any other roots form, so that’s just BS.
