Congrats on another harvest. Tag em n bag em
Looking damn good!
Gave droopy a tea recipe that @Budbrother had given me a couple days ago and she is looking better.
gave them all tea ! I bubbled for about 36 hours
the other grape inferno next to droopy is getting tall. I am really tempted to scrog her.
grove fire getting bigger
Some pics in tent some out, but almost time to harvest the northern afghani’s from @AAA and the other two are dark purple 3 weeks from flip and pineapple chunk 2 weeks. Happy Growin everyone !
great looking plants Z! and great looking buds, some for BOM contest? u taking that worm out to catch some gills?
Beautiful buds, lookin like fire
Thx Monk. They may have been originally from ilgm, northern lights crossed with afghani… ? @AAA sent me some seeds he breeded. They are really stable and looks like the NA6 needs more food than the NA2’s. But can’t enter them in bom. I was thinking of putting the ilgm cali dream or my crystal but never got around to it. Been doing some work on my house and been busy. Anytime I sit down at the computer something else pops up and causes me to get side tracked. And seems like time is flying now. Dark Purple I have growing was from a male elmers glue crossing with a dark purple auto. I dropped a seed from that thinking I would have another auto, but didn’t work out that way, it became a photo. I still call her dark purple. She don’t show any signs of hermi on me yet, just watching. Hope you have a great week Monk.
Thank you , I have been busting my butt, now I have to run this out, clean up everything, put new flooring in house and start all over again LOL, I had a nice rotation going, but have plenty of smoke to take a break. Have a great day !
Afghani was feminized ILGM and the NL father was regs from ILGM(back when they sold them).
So maybe you could enter them!
Have to be ilgm seeds with your original order number, that they can confirm, in order to qualify for BOM contest. Can’t be gifted seeds. I looked into it when I did the LSD grow from ilgm seeds gifted to me.
Is the yellowing of leaves a ‘feature’ of QB’s?? I really don’t like the way the leaves look and maybe its because I had the same thing happen with my last grow and didn’t know? I thought I was dealing with N deficiency, rootbound (they were def this) or PH issues.
What’s your light situation in this tent and at what intensity?
To me it looks like a normal yellowing at the stage they are in.
QB lights are intense and can require feeding them more of certain nutrients like magnesium and such but the yellowing of leaves at the later stages in flower is normal…from my experience anyway
Skydiver, 100% agree about the yellowing of leaves at the later stages of flowering. I was referring to the first picture posted by @zparkie2 following the sentence “Gave droopy a tea recipe…”
I bring it up because, that’s exactly what my plants did right before I flowered them under my QBs.
The second time around, I have been growing my girls @ 40% intensity and foliar spray with Water + Epsom salts, grown in living soil. I’ve been watering once a week with the same pH 6.0 Water + Epsom salts. The plants seem to really love it thus far.
My plan is to keep the QBs at 40% during the stretch and once I get to week 4 of flowering, I will slowly increase the intensity to 100%
I also see a chart regarding LUX range for different stages of the plant and to not exceed 75,000 LUX. I still have a light meter from previous projects and plan to measure LUX in order to stay at or below 75,000 lux.
i just got a new puter so i don’t have the picture that tells what range of ph that the different components (potassium, nitrogen, manganese) get taken up by the plants. i think 6.0 might be low for nitrogen. hopefully someone else has that info.
This chart?
My previous grow, I was watering between 6.5 and 6.8pH and once accidentally watered with 8.0pH.
With about 3-4 weeks left of flowering, I did some googling on growing Sour Diesel and learned that it prefers a slightly acidic soil in the range of 5.9 - 6.2 pH. I applied that newly found information to the Sour Diesel clones and watering the White Widow with 6.5 pH.
I am just like you, I hate when the leaves all get yellow, next run in my no till living soil will be my second, When I top dress I am going to add extra alfalfa meal. (alfalfa meal breaks down slowly over several weeks) And my lights I just run 75% till I flip then full blast to keep that stretch down some. Thank you for your input !
@zparkie2 thanks for posting brother! Yours was one of the threads I was reading before deciding to attempt a no till living soil. I’m hooked!
It is a cool learning experience. The method is different than super soil where you put flower mix in bottom half of pot. Once you make your dirt and have bio char in it, it lasts a very long time, you just top dress. I can have all the roots eaten out in two weeks ready for another plant ! Grind up some ground up barely, sprinkle bakashi, and the earthworms will go to town. Well good luck, hope you keep at it, you have to collect all kinds of amendments to make your medium, mix it well, and put worms in and let sit for 6 weeks min. You can test a clone in it to check if it isn’t too hot. But lots of reading and trying to understand so much, it will come to you,
Thx skydiver, lots of good information there !
Deleted my previous post because it is no longer accurate. I am able to increase LUX by lowering the light. I have decided to increase intensity to 45%, I am about ready to start flowering my group, but, on 2 plants I would like them to be a bit closer to the scrog.
